WNEREAS, [lie City Planning Commission did liol~i a public hearing at the City
Hal) in the City of Anaheim on Marr.h 3, 1932, at 1:3~ p•m., notice of said publSc
hearing having been duly given as required by la~a and in accordance with the
provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter i8.03, to hear and consider
evidence for and against said proposed conditional use permit ancl to investigate and
make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and continued to meeting
of March 22, 1~32.
WIIEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, inv~stigation and study made
by itself and in its behalf, a~d aft~r due consideration of all ev~dence and reports
offered at said hearing, does find and determine the follo~oing facts:
1. That the proposed use is properly one for which a conditional use
permit is authorized b/ Anaheim hlunicipal Code Section 19.~4.050,090 to wit:to permit
enlargement of an existing billboard in the CL (Commercial, Limited) Zone with
waivers of:
(a) SECTION 13.0$.144 - 1laximum display area.
300 sq. ft. permitted; 672 sq. ft. proposed)
(b) SECTIOtJ 13.05.116.02d - Maximum lieiqht.
(27 feet within 3~0 feet of any residentia)
structure permitted; 3.5 feet proposed)
2, That the requested waivers and the proposed use are hereby denied on
tiie basis that there are no special circumstances applicable to the property
including size, shape, topography, location or surroundings which do not apply to
other property under identical zonino classification in the vicinity; that the
proposed size is more than twice ~ahat is permitted by Code; and that no hardship was
shown.
3. That the proposed use will adversely affect thr adjoining tand uses and
the growth and development of the area in which it is proposed to be located.

4. That the size and siiape of the site proposed for the use is not
adequate to allow the full development of the proposed use in a manner not
detrimental to the particular area nor to the peace, health, safety, and general
welfare of the Citizens of the City of llnaheim.
5. That the granting of the Conditional Use Permit will be detrinental to
the peace, health, safety and general ~aelfare of the Citizens of the City ~f Anaheim.
6 That no one indicated their presence at said public hearing in
opposition; and that no correspondence was received in opp~sition to the subject
petition.
ENVIRONIIENTAL It1PACT FINDIfIG: The Planning Director or his authorized
representative has determ'ined that the proposed project falls within the definition
of Categorical Exemptions, Ciass 11; as defined in the State EIR Guidelines and is,
therefore, categoricaliy >.xempt from the requirement to prepare an EIR.
W04l, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED tliat the Anaheim City Planning Cortmission
does hereby deny subject Petition for Conditional Use Permit on the basis of the
aforementioned findings.
