A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNZNG COMMISSION
THAT PETITION FOR RECLASSIFICATION NO. 83-84-9 BE DENIED
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did receive a verified
petition for Reclassification from CZTY OF ANAHEIM, P. O, Box 3222, Anaheim,
California 92803, owner, and GFELLER DEVELOP6fENT COMPANY, INC., 228 West Main
Street, Tustin, California 92680, ATT: RALPH SPARGO, agent of certain real
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, described as follows:

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at
the Civic Center in the City of Anaheim on October 17, 1983 at 1:30 p.m.,
notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in
accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.03,
to hear and consider evi~ence for and against said proposed reclassification
and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection
therewith; and
WFiEREAS, sai.d Ccmmission, after due inspection, investigation and
study made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all
evidence a.zd reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the
following facts:
1. That the petitioner proposes reclassification of subject
property from the RS-A-43,000 (Residenkial, Agricultural) Zone to the RM-2400
(Residential, Multiple-Family) Zone.
2. That the proposod reclassification is denied because it is
inconsistent with ~naheim General Plan which designates subject property far
general open space land uses.
3. Tiiat the proposed reclassification of subject property is not
necessary nor desirable for the orderly and proper development of the
community.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT FINDING:
Commission does hereby deny certification ofh Environmentale Impartt Report nNog
259 on the basis that sufficient soils tests were not conducted to accurately
detetmine the depth of the underlying dump site and the type of materials
which were used to fill said dump. Planning Commission also determined that
until such additional data is available, a change in the land use designation
should not be made.
NOW, ~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Pla;~ning
Commission does hereby deny Petitiora for Reclassification on the basis of the
aforementioned findings.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this 17th day
