WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at
the Civic Center in the City uf Anaheim on February 23, 1983 at 1:30 p.m.,
notice of said public hearing havirig been duly given as required by law and in
accordance with the prr,;,jsions of the Anatieim Municipal Code. Chapter 18.03,
to hear and consider e:vidence for and against said proposed reclassification
and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection
therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and
study made by itself and in its behalf, and a£ter due consideration of all
evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the
following facts:
1. That the petitioner proposes reclassification of subject
~roperty from County of Orange A1 (Agricultural, General) Zone to the City of
Anaheim CL(SC) (Commercial, Limited - Scenic Corridor Overlay) Zone.
2• That the Anaheim General Plan designates subject property for
general open space land uses. General Plan Amendment No. 178, currently
pending, proposes a change in the land use designation to General Commercial
and General Open Space.
3. That the proposed reclassification of subject property is
necessary and/or desirable for the orderly and praper development of the
community.
4• That the proposed reclassification of subject property does
pro~erly relate to the zones and their permitted uses locally established in
close proximity to subject property and to the zones and their permitted uses
generally established throughout the community.
5• That the prooosed reclassification of subject property requires
the improvement of abutting streets in accordance wiih the Circulation Element
of the General Plan, due to the anticipated increase in traffic which will be
generated by the intensification of land use.
6. That no one indicated their presence at said public hearing in
opposition; and that no correspondence was received in opposition to subject
petition.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT FINDING: Subject property and the proposed
reclassifica~~on was considered in EIR No. 258, previously certified by the
City Counci_ „n December 14, 1982.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning
Commission does hereby grant subject Petition for reclassification, upon the
fullcwing condition which is hereby found to be a necessary prerequisite to
the proposed use of the subject property in order to preserve the safety and
general welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim:
1. That completion of this reclassification procedure is contingent upon
approval of General Pla:: Amendment No. 178 changing the land use
designation to General Commercial and General Open Space.

NCW, THEREFORE, HE i~l RESOL~7ED that the Anaheim City Planning
Commission does hereby grant subject Petition fcr Reclassification and, by so
doing, that Title 18-ZOning of the Anaheim Municipal Code be amended to
incorporate the above-described property into the CL(SC) (Commercial, Limited
- Scenic Corridor Overlay) Zone.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this 23rd day
