WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a~,ublic hearing at
tlie Civic Center in the City of Anaheim on May 2, 1983 at 1:30 p,m,, notice of
said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in
accordance with the provisions cf the Anaheim Mu,iicipal Code, Chapter 18.03,
to hear ~nd ~onsider evidence for and against said proposed conditional use
permit and to investigate and make findings and recornmendatior.s i.n connection
therewith; and

1. That the proposed use is properly one L-or which a conditional
use permit is authorized by Anaheim Municipal Code Section 18.03.030.u10 to
wit: to retain overnight customer parkir~g (camping) in conjunction with an
existing recreational vehicle service facility.

Z• That the proposed use is hezeby denied on the basis that the
'1 additional use would be considered a dual use on the
~' undesirable property and could set an
precedent allowing a commercial parking lot to be used for

3• That the proposed use will adversely affect the adjoining land

uses and the growth and development of the area in which it is proposed to be
~ located.
4• That the grantiny of the Conditional Use Permit under the
conditions imposed, if any, will be detrimental to the peace, health, safety
aad general welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim.
5• That the traffic generated by the proposed use will impose an
undue burden upon the streets and highways desiqned and improved to carry the
traffic in the area.
6• That four persons indicated their presence at said public
hearing in opposition; and that no correspondence was received in opposition
to the subject petitiun.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City Planning
Commission has reviewed the proposal to retai~ overnight customer parking
(camping) in conjunction with an e~:isting recreational vehicle service
facility on an irregularly-shaped parcel of land consisting of approximately
3,0 acres, having a frontage of approximately 700 feet on the east side of
We~t Street, and further described as 866 South West Street (Camping World);
and does hereby approve the Negative nec.laration from the requirement to
prepare an environmental impact report on tk~e basis that there would be no
significant individual or cumulative adverse environmental impact due to the
approval of this Neyative Declaration since the Anaheim General Plan
designates the subject prooerty for commercial recreation land uses
commensurates with the proposai; that no ~ensitive environmental impacts are

involved in the proposal; that the Znitial Study submitted by the petitioner
indicates no significant individual oc cumulative adverse environmental
impacts; and that the Negative Declaration substantiating the foregoing
findings is on file in the City of Anaheim Planning Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning
Commission does hereby deny subject Petition for Conditional Use Permit, on
the basis of the aforementioned findings.
