A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING AN APPLICATION FEE FOR A
MINISTERIAL TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP FOR AN URBAN
LOT SPLIT
WHEREAS, under Section 18.62.110 (Urban Lot Split) of Chapter 18.62 (Administrative
Reviews) of Title 18 (Zoning) of the Anaheim Municipal Code, an applicant for a Tentative
Parcel Map for an Urban Lot Split must pay a fee at the time in an amount established by
resolution of the City Council for the purpose of defraying the costs and expenses to the City of
Anaheim (the "City") for the processing of applications; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a fee to process the applications for
Tentative Parcel Map for an Urban Lot Split; and
WHEREAS, the fee hereinafter established are less than or equal to, but in any event
do not exceed, the actual direct and indirect costs and expenses incurred by the City in receiving,
processing, analyzing, acting upon and administering applications for the Urban Lot Split
authorized by Section 18.62.110.
WHEREAS, pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code Section 21000 et seq.; herein referred to as
"CEQA"), the State of California Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental
Quality Act (herein referred to as the "CEQA Guidelines"), and the City's Local CEQA
Procedure Manual, the City is the "lead agency" for the preparation and consideration of
environmental documents for "projects", as that term is defined in Section 15378 of the CEQA
Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that this Resolution is exempt
from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 21080(b)(8) of the
California Public Resources Code in that said fee is established to meet operating expenses,
including employee wage rates and fringe benefits and purchasing or leasing of supplies,
equipment, materials and services.; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Anaheim resolves, finds and
determines on the basis of the facts set forth in the agenda report presented to it and any
testimony received at the meeting at which this matter was considered, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct.
Section 2. The application fee of Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000.00) as set forth in
Exhibit A attached hereto is hereby adopted and shall become effective on the effective date of
the Ordinance for DEV2021-00216 and shall accompany, any application submitted pursuant to
Section 18.38.255 (Two -Unit Development and Urban Lot Split of Chapter 18.38 (Supplemental
Uses)) of Title 18 (Zoning) of the Anaheim Municipal Code.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
