A RESOLUTSON OF THE ANAHEIM CT4'Y PLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTZNG
ANU REC~hIMENDING TO THE CITY COUMCIL OF THE CITY Ot~' ANAHEIM
A~OPTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF TfiE
GCNERAL PLAPJ -DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT N0. 203
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the
Anaheim General Plan by Resolution No. 69R-644, showi.nq the general
description and extent of possible future development within the Cil-y; and
WNEREAS, pursuant to a request from the property c.wner for a Genera.i
Plan Amendment study, City staff prepared a G2neral Plan Amendment foc an area
consisting of agproximately 2.5 acres located between Lincoln Avenue and
Broadway with stceet frontage on the east side of Citron Str~et; and
WfiEREAS, THE Planning Department deemer] it appropriate, pursuant to
the provisions of the Califor.nia Environmental Quality Act, that the project
is covered under Er,vironmental Impact Report No. 240; however, an addendum to
EIk No. 248 was prepared in connection with the foregoing project under
consideration; and
WFtEkEAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did hold a public
hearing at the Anaheim Civic Center, Council CSamber, 200 South Anaheim
Boulevard, on September 30, 1985, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing
having been duly yiven as required by law and in accordance with the
provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for
and agaiast said Amendment to the Anaheim Ceneral Plan and to investigate and
make findings and rec~mmendations in connection therewith; and
WIiEREAS, said Commission, after due consideration, in~pection,
investigation and study made by itself, and after due consideration of all
evitlence and reports offered at said hearing, DOES HEREBY FIND:
1• That sufficient evidence was presented which substantiates the
need for an amendment to the Anaheim Ceneral Plan, and it is deemed
appropriate that "F.xhibit A" be adopted, designating the entire ar.ea for
medium density residential land uses.
NO{J, THEREFURE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Anaheim City Planning
Commission has reviewed the addendum to Environmental impact Report No. 2qp
which was certiiied by the City Council on March lb, 1982, in connection with
Reclassification No. 81-82-17, Conditional Use Permit No. 2312 and Tentative
Tract No. 11926 (to permit a 2-lot 97-unit condominium subdivi.sicn on the
former Fremont Junior High School site); and, therefore, does recpmmend to tne
City Council that they approve the addendum to EIR No. 248 on the basis that
it is in compliance with ~he California Environmental Quality Act and with
City Guidelines.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to the foregoing findings, the
Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby adopt and recommend to the City
Council of the City of Anaheim adoption of General Plan nmendment No. 203 -
Exhibit A.
