AN OR P INANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
CALIFORNIA, ORDERING, CALLING, PROVIDING
FOR AID GIVING NOTICE , OF A SPECIAL ELEC-
TION 10 BE HELD IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
ON TH$29TH DAY OF .SEPTEMBER, 1952, FOR
THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALI-
FIED VOTERS OF SAID CITY TWO PROPOSITIONS
TO INOUR BONDED INDEBTEDNESS BY SAID CITY
FOR C$RTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim,
California, did on the 12th day of August, 19529 by a vote of
more than two-thirds of the members of said City Council, adopt
Resolution No. 208 , entitled "Resolution of the City
Council of the City of Anaheim, California, determining that
the public interest and necessity demand the acquisition and
construction of certain municipal improvements, and making
findings relating thereto," which said resolution was duly
signed and approved by the Mayor of said City and attested and
certified by the City Clerk of said City;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council o f the City of
Anaheim DOES ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. That a special election be held, aril the
some is hereby called to be held, in the City of Anaheim, Califor-
nia,

mitting

mitting to the qualified voters of said city two propositions of
incurring indebtedness and issuing bonds of said city therefor,
in the amounts hereinafter set forth, and for the objects and
purposes set forth in said resolution and hereinafter stated.
Section 2. That the object and purpose for which
each of said indebtednesses is to be incurred and bonds issued
therefor is as follows:
BOND PROPOSITION N0, 1:
The acquisition and construction by the City of
Anaheim of a certain municipal improvement, to wit:
waterworks facilities to extend and improve the water-
works system of the city, said facilities to include
storage facilities, wells, pumps, works, structures
and water mains ( including replacement of existing mains)
and the acquisition of lands, rights of way, pipe, equip-
ment, material, apparatus, and property necessary for
said improvement.
BOND PROPOSITION NO. 2:
The acquisition and construction by the City of
Anaheim; of a certain municipal improvement, to wit:
electric distribution facilities to extend and improve
the electric distribution system of the city, such
facilities to include the acquisition and the construction
(including the reconstruction) of electric lines, the
acquisition and construction of transformer stations and
distribution substations, including the acquisition of
lands, rights of way, material, equipments apparatus and
property necessary for said improvement.
Section 3. That the estimated cost of the municipal
improvement described in Bond Proposition No. 1 in Sectim 2
hereof is the sum of $5129500,00, and that the amount of the
principal of the indebtedness to be incurred therefor is the
sum of $500,000.00.
That the estimated cost of the municipal improvement
described in Bond Proposition No. 2 in Section 2. hereof is the
Sum of $525, 000.00, and that the amount of the principal of the
indebtedness to be incurred therefor is the sum of $500,000,00,

That the maximum rate of interest to be paid on any
indebtedness incurred for any of the purposes stated in this
ordinance shall not exceed four per cent (4%) per annum, payable
annually for the first year and semiannually thereafter,
That if any proposition for the incurring of bonded
indebtedness so submitted receives the requisite number of
votes, to wit, two-thirds of the votes of the qualified elec-
tors voting on said proposition, bonds of said City, in not
exceeding the principal amount stated in such proposition,
shall be issued and sold for the object and purpose set forth
in said proposition.
Section 4e That the polls for said election shall
be opened at seven o t c lock, A .M. , of the day of said election
and shall remain open continuously from said time until seven
of clock, P.M., of the same day, when said polls shall be closed,
except as provided in Section 5734 of the Elections Code of
the State of California.
That on the ballots to be used at said special
election, in addition to any other matters required by law,

Section 6. That except as otherwise provided in
this ordinance, the election called hereby shall be conducted
as provided by law for other municipal elections in said city.
Section 7. That the City Council of said City shall
meet at its usual place of meeting in the City Hall .on Tuesday,
the 30th day of September, 1952, at 8:00 o t e loch, P.M., of said
day, and proceed to canvass the election returns and declare
the result of said election .
Section 8. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this ordinance by a vote of more than
two-thirds of all of the members of the City Council of said
City, and shall cause said ordinance to be published once a
day for at least seven (7) days prior to the date of said
election in the ANAHEIM BULLETIN, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Anaheim six days a week. No other notice of such election
need be given.
Section 9. This ordinance shall take effect upon
its passage.
