A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIt9 CITY PLANNINC COMMISSION DENYING
GENERAL PLAN AMENDtSENT N0. 200 - LAND USE ELEMENT
Wi1EREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the
Anaheim General Plan by Resolution No. 69R-644, showing the general
description and extent of possible future development within the City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to a request from the propecty owner and the
City of Anaheim for a General Plan Amendment study, City staff prepared a
General Plan Amendment f.or an a.rea conaisl-ing of approximately 3.2 acres
located on the northeast corner of South Street and SunV.ist• Street; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department deemed it appropriate,
pursuant to the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act,
after review of the proposal and 7nitial Study and finding no significant
environmental impact, that a Negative Declaration be approved; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Pl.anning Commission did hold a public
hearing at the Anahe~m Civic Center, Council Chamber, 200 South Anaheim
Boulevard, on March 4, 1985, at 1:30 p. m., notice of said public hearing
having been duly given as reguired by law and in accordance with the
provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence
for and against said Amendment to the Anaheim General Plan and to
investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection
therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, aftec due consideration, inspection~
investigation and study made by itself, and after due consideration of
all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, DOES HEREBY FIND:
1. That sufficient evidence was not presented to substantiate
the need for an amendment to the Anaheim General Plan at
rh~s time.
2. That an amendment to the Anaheim General Plan designating
subject property for Low-Medium Dens±ty Residential land
uses would be inccmpatible with the existiny Low Densit~~
Residential land uses in the immediate area. Therefore,
no change should be adop=ed for the subject study area.
E[~VIRONMENTAL IMPArm FINDING: That the Anaheim City Planning
Commission has reviewed the proposal to change the current Low Density
Residential designakion to Low-Medium Density Residential on an
"L-shaped" study area consisting of approximately 3.2 acres locat~d on
the northeast corner of South Street and Sunkist Street; and does hereby
approve the Negative Declaration upon finding that it has considered the
Negative Declaration together with any comments received during the
public review process and furth~r finding on the basis of L•he initial
study and any comments rec.:ived that there is no substantial evidence
that the project will have a significant effect on the environment.

NOW, THER~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to,the foregoing
findings, the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby deny General Plan
Amendment No. 200.
