AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING CHAPTER 1.04 OF TITLE 1 OF THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO DEPARTMENTS OF
THE CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM HEREBY ORDAINS AS
FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. AMENDMENT
Section .110 of Chapter 1.04 of TITLE 1 of the Anaheim Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read in full as follows:
1.04.110 CITY DEPARTMENTS CREATED
There are hereby created the following departments:
l . City Administration Department
2. City Attorney Department
3. City Clerk Department
4. City Treasurer Department
5. Community Services Department
6. Convention, Sports and Entertainment Department
7. Economic Development Department
8. Finance Department
9. Fire and Rescue Department
10. Housing and Community Development Department
11. Human Resources Department
12. Planning and Building Department
13. Police Department
14. Public Utilities Department
15. Public Works Department
SECTION 2. AMENDMENT
Section. 160 of Chapter 1.04 of TITLE 1 of the Anaheim Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
The Housing and Community Development Department shall be under the supervision of a
Director of Housing and Community Development which office is hereby created. The Housing
and Community Development Director shall have direct responsibility for the administration and
technical operations of the Housing and Community Deyelopment Department and the acquisition,
maintenance, demolition and repair of City -owned properties purchased with state and/or federal
funding, including other sources of funding the City is able to secure.
SECTION 3. CERTIFICATION; EFFECTIVE DATE OF ORDINANCE
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed
once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, and thirty (30) days from and after its
final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.
SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, word, or portion of this Ordinance is for any
reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. The City
Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares that it would have adopted this Ordinance and each
remaining section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, word, or portion thereof irrespective of the
fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, words, or portions have
been declared invalid or unconstitutional.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Anaheim held on the 25 day of January, 2022, and thereafter passed and
adopted at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 1 day of February
2022, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Sidhu and Council Members O'Neil, Diaz,
Ma'ae, Moreno, Valencia, and Faessel
