A RESnLU'TlON OF THE ANAHEfM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY CQUNCIL ADOPTION OF
GENERAL PLAN AMEiJDMENT N0. 329 PERTAINING TO THE CIRCULATInN ELCiVIEN'~
WHEREAS, th~ City Council of tho City of Anaheim did adopt the Anahoim
General Plan by Resolution No. 69R-644, showing the general description and extent of
passible fut~are development within tho City; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission directed staff ta initiate an arnendment to the
Cir~ulation Eloment of tho General ~lan deletinr~ the Primary Arterial Highw~y ddsic~nation for
the segment of Anaheim Boulevard located betweer~ La Palma tivenu~ and Lemon Street.
WH~HEAS, tho Anaheim City Planning Cammission did hold s public hearing at
the Anahaim Civic Center, Council Chamber, 20Q 5outh Anaheim Bnulevard, c~n May 18, 1992,
at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing havinc~ been duly ~iven as roquired by law Rnd in
accardanco with the provisions of the Anaheim Municip2l Cado, Chapter 18.03, to hear and
cunsider evidence for and ~gainst said proposed General Plan Amandment and to investic~ate
and make findings and recornmendations in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commiss~or~, aiter due consideration, inspection, investigation
and study made by itself, and after due consideration of all evidenco and reports offered at
said he~+ring, does hereby find and determine the following facts:
1. That the amendment is necess~ry to improve vyhicular circulation and
safety.
2. That the current capacities of the roadway will remain rogardless of th~ir
designation on the Circulation ~IFment.

Pl~nning Commission has reviewed thc~ prop~~sal to amend tiie Circulation Element of the
Gonoral Plan to delete the Primary Arterial Highway designation for the segmont of Anaheim
Boulevard loc~ted between La Palma Avenue and Lemon Street~ and does hereby approve the
Negative Declaration upon finding that it has considesed the Negative Declaration together with
any comments received durinQ the public revigw process and further ~nding on the basis ~F
tho initial study and any comments reaeived that there is no evidence that the proJoct will have
a significant effect on the environment.

NOW, T'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, tha± pursuant to the abo~ie findings, tf~e
Anaheim Ciry Planning C~mmission daes hereby adopt and rocommend to the City Council
of the City of Anaheim adoption pf General Plan Amendment No. 329 nr~rtaining to the
Circulation Elemont.
