A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLA~VNING COMMISSION
ADOPTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF
GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT N0. 350 PERTAINING TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Ciry of Anaheim did adopt the Anaheim General Plan by
Resolution No. 69R-644, showing the general description and extent ef possible future development wfthin
the Ciry; and
WFfEREAS, Planning Commission d(rected staff to tnitt~te an amendment to ths land Use
Element of the General Plan to redesignate subJect property from the existing Medfum Densfry Residential
land ~se designation to :he Low-I~Aedium Density Residen4lal land use designation on a 13.58 acre parcel,
located at the northeast comer of Miraloma Avenue and La Palma Avenue arxl having frontages of 500 teet
on La Palma Avenua and 1,253 feet on Mir~loma Avenue (2627 East IB Palma Avenua - Palm Lodge Mobile
Home Park);
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Ciry Planning Commission dtd hdd a public hearing at the Anaheim
Civic Center, CouncU Chamber, 200 South Anaheim Boulevarcl, on August 4, 1997, at 1:30 p.m., notice of
said public hearing having been duly gNen as required by law and in accordance wfth the provisions of the
Anaheim Municipal Code, t~ hear and consider avidence for and against said General Plan Amendment and
to investigate arxJ make ftndings arxl recommendations in connection therewfth; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due consideration, inspection, investigation and stud;~
made by ftself, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offertd at safd he~ ~,~~ ~%vr.s ;;
HEREBY FIND: _ _
1. That the Avidence presented substantiates the need for an amendment to th~ r,.,xf•,,_`m ~:``
General Plan and that, therefore, Exhibft A should be adopted redesignating subject area for"(ar-~ ::: e~~~.u: ~.
2. That no onA indicated their presence at said public hearing in opposition; and that no
correspondence was receNed in opposftion to the subject petit(on.
~AUFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City planning
Commission has revlewed the proposal to amerxi the Land Use Element of the General Plan to change the
cunent land use designatton from Medium Densiri~ Residential to Low-Medium Density ResideMial on a 13.56
acre parcel located at the northeast comer of Miraloma Avenue and La Palma Avenue and having frontages
of 500 feet on La~ Palma Avenue and 1,253 feet on Mfraloma Avenue (2627 East la Palma Avenue - Palm
Lodge Mobile Home Park); and does hereby approve the NegatNe Dedaration upon flnding that ft has
conskJered tho NegatNe Dedaration together wfth any commonts receNed du~ing the public review process
and further flr-dfng on the basis of the initlal study and any comments receNed that there is no evidence that
the project will have a signiflcant effect on the environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the above findings, the Anahefrr~
City Planning Commtssion does hereby adopt and recor!mmend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim
adoption of General Plan Amendment No. 350 pertalning to the Land Use Element, Exhibft A, to redesignate
the study area from the Medium Density Residential land use designation to the Low-Med(um Dens{ry
Resfdential land use designation.
