A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSIC',N
AMENDItJG CERTAIN CONDITIONS OF APF ROVAL OF
RESOLUTION NC. PC 94-151 ADOPTED IN CON(VEC710N WITH
CONDITIONAL USE PER~VIIT NO. 372k
WHEREAS, on November 14, 1994, th3 Planning Commission adopted Resolution
No. PC94-151 to apprave Conditional Use Permit No. 3724 and pertnit an approximately 38,000 sq.ft. church
faciliry fn the ML (Limfted Irxfustrial) Zone; and that said teso4utien includes the following condition:
That the permitted fteestanding sign shall be t!mited to a ten (10) sq.ft.sign, mouMed on the
perimoter wall as illustrated on Exhibit No. .'..
WHEREAS, on December 12,1996, the 7_oning Administrator approved Decision No. ZA96-37
to permft a 6-foot high wrought iron fence wfth pilasters; and
WHEREAS, subJect property fs r3zvelo~ed wfth a church facility I~~ the ML Zone.
WHEREAS, Glen G~!IaUy a', Bfssell Architects, represent(ng The Diocese of Orange, has
submitted a revised sign plan (Revisio~ Pio.1 of Exhibit No. 3) and requssted that the conditions of approval
be amended to permft a 42 sq. ft.,14-foot high monument sign on the Crescent Way ftontayo (west property
linej of the church property.
WHEREAS, t-:a City Plann'ng Cosnmissior~ di~ hold a pubUc hearing at the Civic Center in the
G'ity of Anaheim on Ap~il 22, 1997, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing having been duly gNen as
required by law and ir, accordance with tt~e provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.03, to
hear and cons(der evidence for and agal!-~st safd proposed amendment and to investigate and make flndings
and recommendat;~~ns in connectior. iherewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commissian, after due inspect(on, investigation and study made by itself and
in its behalf, and after due co~isideratic;~ of all evidence and reports offered at said hea~ins, does flnd and
determine the following far,ts:
1. Thatthe proposed mcdification, includingthe imposftion of addftional conditions, is reasonably
necessary to protect the public peace, health, safety and general welfare and necessary to permft
reasonable operation under th~ cas~ditional use permft as granted;
2. That the p~oposed manument sign complies wfth all applicaWe development standards of the
underlying ML Zone; arx4 that the submitted ptan indicates that the proposal wlll be architecturally
compatible wfth the existing building and fencing; and
3. That no one indicated their presence at said public hearing in opposition; and that no
correspond~nce was received in opposftfon to the subject petftion.
('ALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUAUTY ACT FINDING: ThaY the Anaheim Ciry Planning
Commission has roviewed the proposal and dces hereby fnd that the NegatNe Declaration previously
approved in connection with Conciitional Use Permft No. 3724 is adequate to serve as the required
environmental documentation in connection with thls request upon finding that tha declaration reflects the
(ndependent judgement of the lead agency and that ft has considered the previously approved Negative
Declaration together with any comments receNed during the public review process and further flnding on
the basis of the inRial study and any commerrts recefved that there is no substantial evidence that the proJect
will have a slgniflcant effect on the environment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim Planning Commission does hereby
amend Condition No. 1 of Resolution No. PC94-151, adopted in connection with Conditional Use Permit
No. 3724, to read as follows:
1. That the permitted monument sign shall be limited to a maximurn forty-two (42) square foot,
fourteen (14) foot high sfgn, as illustrated on Revision No. 1 of Exhibft t~lo. 3.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was adopted at the PI ning Commission meeting of
Aptil 28, 1397. ~
