A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
ADOPTING AND RECOMMENDlNG TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF
GENERAL PI.AN AMENDMENT NO. 343 PERTAINING TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT
WHEREAS, the Ciry Council of the City of Anaheim did adopi the Anaheim General Plan by
Resolution No. 69R-644, showing the general description and extent of possible f~ture development within
the City; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commissian directed staff to initiate an amendment to the land Use
Element of the General Flan to redeslgnate subJect property from the Commercial Professional and Low
Densiry RQ rcel consisd use~das~9f aximatelyt0.98 acre located at ithe southeastSi9om ~nof Ball ~Road and

Harbor Boulevard, having approximate irontages of 185 feet on the south side of Ball Hoad and 285 feet on
the east side of Harbor Boulevard, and further described as 520 West Ball Road;
WHEREAS, the Analieim City Planning Commission did hold a publ(c hearing at the Anaheim
Civic Center, Council Chamber, 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, on January 22, 1997, at 1:3d p.m., not(ce
of said pubtic hearing having been duly given as rsquired by law ancl in accordance with the provisions of
the Anaheim Munlcipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and agafnst said General Plan Ameridment
and to investigate and make findings and recommendations In connection therewfth; and that said p~blic
hearing was continued to the February 3, 1997 Planning Commission meeting; and
WHEREAS, said Commissi~~n, after due consideration, inspectfon, investigation and study
made by itself, and after due consfderation of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, DOES
HEREBY FIND:
1. That the evldence presented substantiates the need for an amendment to the Anaheim
General Ptan and that, therefore, Exhibit A should be adopted redesignating subject area far land uses.
2. That no one indicated their presence at said public hearing in opposition; and lhat no
correspondence was received in opposition to subject petition.
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City Plenning
Commission has rev(ewed the proposal to amend the Land llse Element of the General Plan to change the
current land use designations from Commercial Professional and Low Denstty Residential to the General
Commercial on an irregularly-shaped parce! consisting of approximately 0.98 acre lacated at the southeast
corner of Ball Road and Harbor Boulevard, having approximate frontages of 185 feet on the south side of
Ball Road and 285 feet on the east side o~ Harbor Bouievard, and further described as 520 West Ball Road;
and does hereby approve the NegatNe Declaratfon upon finding that ft has considered the Negattve
Declaration together wfth any comments received during the public review process and further findfng on
the basfs of the inftial study and any comments receNed that there is no evidence that the project wiil have
a significant effect on the environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the above findings, the Anaheim
Ciry Planning Commission does hereby adopt and recommand to the Cfty Council of the City ot Anaheim
adopt(on of General Plan Amendment No. 343 pertaining to the Land Use Element, as shown on Exhibft A,
to designate the study area for General Commarcial land uses.
