A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
AMENDING CERTAIN CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 89R-382,
AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. PC96-113 AND ADOPTED IN CONNECTION WITH
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 3183
WHEREAS, on September 12, 1989, Resolution No. 89R-382 was adopted by the Anaheim
City Council to grant Conditional Use Permit No. 3183 and permit certain industrially-reiated sales
business and office uses at 1501 and 1525 North Raymond Avenue in the ML {Limited Industrial) zone;
and that Condition Nos. 18 (retail sales businesses) and 19 (industrially-related o~ce uses) of said
resoiution specify the businesses that are permitted; and
WHEREAS, on October 18, 1996, Resolution No. PC96-113 was adopted by the Planning
Commission to amend Resolution No. 89R-382 and expand the list of permitted uses to include
'tivholesaie and retail flooring contractor'; and
WHEREAS, this property is currently developed with an industrial subdivision and is zoned
ML (Limited Industrial); and that the Anaheim General Plan Land Use Element designates this property
for General lndustrial Iand uses; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner proposes a~ding a"commercial Boy Scout supply shop" to lhe
list of uses identified in Condition No. 18 (retail sales businesses) to retain the existing commercial Boy
Scout supply shop at 1501 North Raymond Avenue, Suite "O," under the authority of Code Section
18.03.091 and 18.03.092; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the Civic Center in
the City of Anaheim on December 21, 1998, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said pubiic hearing having been duly
given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter
18.03. to hear and consider evidence for and against said preposed amendment and to investigate and
make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and study made by itself
and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offere~ at said hearing, does find
and determine the following facts:
1. That the proposed modification, including the imposition of additional conditions, is
reasonably necessary to protect the public peace, health, safety or general weifare, or necessary to
permit reasonable operation under the conditional use permit as granted.
2. That no one indicated their presence at the publia hEaring in opposition to the proposal; and
that no correspondence was received in opposition.
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City
Planning Commission has reviewed the proposal amend Conditionai Use Permit No. 3183 by adding a
"commercial Boy Scout suppiy shop" to the list of uses identified in Condition No. 18 (retail sales
businesses) to retain the existing commercial Boy Scout supply shop at 1501 North Raymond Avenue,
Suite "O"; and does hereby find that the Negative Declaration previously approved in connection with
Conditional Use Permit IJo. 3183 is adequate to serve as the required environmental documentation in
connection with this request upon finding that the declaration reflects the independentjudgment of the
lead agency and that it has considered lhe previously approved Negative Declaration together with any
comments received during the public review process and further finding on the basis of the initial study
and any comments received that there is no substantial evidence that the project will have a significant
effec! on the environment.

NOW, THF_REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commissio~ does
hereby amend Condition No. 18 of Resolution No. 89R-382, adopted in connection with Conditional Use
Permit No. 3183 and amended by Resolution No. PC96-113, to read as follows:
18. That retail sales businesses shall be limited ta the following uses and shall be
confined to "Fiuilding No. 19" as identified on the herein described plan and
specifications:
1. Dry cleaners.
2. Hair salon/barber shops, and related supplies.
3. Lock and key companies.
4. Office supplies.
5. Post office and mail services.
6. Print shops/photocopy services.
7. Travel agents.
8. Boys and Girls non-profit youth organization suppiy stores.
9. Any use permitted pursuant to Zoning Code Section 18.61.020 and
subject to all conditions of said section.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby add the foliowing
new conditions of approval:
24. That Boys and Girls Non-Profit Youth Organization Supply Store businesses sh~all
be subject to the foliowing requirements:
(a) That no outdoor Special Eveni Permits shall ~e permitted.
(b) That no window signs shall be permitted.
