A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNIPJG COMMISSION
ADOPTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF
GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 356 PERTAINING TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the Anaheim General Plan
by Resoiution No. 69R-644, showing the generai description and e~ā¢?ent of possible future development
within the City; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission directed staff to initiate an amendment to the Land Use
Element of the General Plan to redesignate subject property from the Generel Commercial land use
designation to the General Industrial land use designation.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the
Anaheim Civic Center, Council Chamber. 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, on March 30, 19;'8, at 130 p.m.,
notice of said public he~ring having been duly given as required by !aw and ir 2ccordance with the
provisions of the Anaheim Municipai Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said General
Plan Amendment and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
WHERF~f-S, said Commission, after due consideration, inspection, investigation and study
made by itself, and aft~r due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, DOES
HEREBY FIND:
1. That subject property is an irregularly-shaped property consisting of 21.6 acres located between !he
Santa Ana River and the SR 91/Riverside Freeway west of Weir Canyon Road, having a frontage of 45
feet on thr: west side of Piallmar Drive and a maximum depth of 2,265 feet, and being located 38 feet west
of the cer~lerline of Crystal D;ive (8015, 8025, 8035, 8045, 8050, 8055, 8065, 8080, 8085 and 8095 East
Crystal Drive).
2. That the properly is currently vacant and zoned CL(SC) (Comm~~rcial, limited - Scenic Corridor
Overlay); and that a reclassification to the ML(SC) (Limited Industrial - Scenic Corridor) Zone was filed in
conjunction with this c~eneral pian amendment.
3. That the evidence presented at the puiblic hearing substantiates the need for an amendment to the
Anaheim General Plan and that, therQfore, Exhibit A shculd be adopted redesignating subject area to the
General Industrial land use designation.
4. That no one inclicated their presence at lhe public hearing in opposition to the proposal and that no
corespondence in opposition to the proposal was received.
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QU/~LITY ACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City
Planning Comrnission has reviewed the proposal to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan to
change the current I~nd use designation from General Commercial to General Industrial on a 21.6-acre
property located between the Santa Ana River and the SR 91/Riverside Freeway, having a frontage of 45
feet on the west side: of Pullman Street and a maximum depth of 2,265 feet, and being located 38 feet
west of tho centerl~no of Crystal Drive (8015, 8025, 8030, 8035, 8045, 8050, 8055, 8065, 8080, 8Q65 and
8095 East Crystal Drive); and does h~reby approve the Negative Declaration upon finding that it has
considered the Ni~gsitive Declaration together with any comments received during the public review
process and further flnd~r.; cā the basis of lhe initial study and ~ny comments received that there is no
evidence that the project will have a signifcant effect on the environmenk.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the above findings, the
Anaheim Ciry Pianning Commission does hereby adopt and recommend to the City Council of the City of
Anaheim adoption of Generai Pian Amendment No. 356, Exhibit A, pertaining to the Land Use Eiement of
the Generat Plan, to redesignate the study area from the General Commercial land use designation to
General Industrial land use designation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was adopted at the Pianning Commission meeting of
March 30, 1998.
