PERTAINING TO THE LAND USE'~LEA~ cn';
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the Anaheim Gene~~l F:~~n.
by Resolution No. 69R-644, showing the general description and extent of possible future deve!opme~~t
within the City; and
WHEREAS, Pianning Comm~ssion directed staff to init;ate arr>ndments tc the '~~ c E.1-.+e
Eiement of the General Plan to re-designate five neighborhood areas, as follows:
General Plan Amendment No. 363 - A
Commercial Pro(essional designation to Lo~-v Density Residential designation fcr properiies
located on the east side of Euclid Street between Crone Avenue on the nortF~ t~ a point 140 feet
south of the centertine of Beacon Avenue to the south, having a combined frontage of 535 feet on
the east side of Euclid Street and a depth of approximately 66 feet (0.8 acre;.
General Plan Amendment No 363 - B
Medium Densiry Residential designation to Low Density Residential designation for properties
located on the east side of Hampstead Street between a point 132 feet south of the centeriine of
Beacon Avenue on the north to Ball Road on the south, and having a fronfage of 640 fee: on the
east side of Hampstead Street and a depth of 110 feet; anJ for properties located on the south
side of Beacon Avenue between Hampstead Street on the west and Walnut Street on the east,
and having a frontage of 1,083 feet on the south side of Beacon Avenue and a maximum depth of
approximately 127 feet (4.8 acres).

General Commercial designation to Low Den~ity Residenfial designation for properties located on
the east side of Iris Street between a public alley south of Ball Road on the north to Hill Avenue on
the south, having a combined frontage of 290 feet on the west side of Iris Street, and t'rontages of
317 feet on both the north and south sides of Margate Drive and 317 feet on the ;~urth side of Mill
Avenue (2.1 acres).
General Plan Amendment No 363 - D
Medium Density Residential designation to Low Density Residential designation for properties
located on the south side of Orange~rood Avenue belween Dana Street on the west and Oertley
Drive on the east, with a frontage of 115 feet on the south side of Orangewood Avenue and
combined frontages of 531 feet on east side of Oertley Drive and 531 feet on the east side of
Dana Street (1.4 acres).
General Plan Amendment No 363 - E
Low-Medium Density Residential designation to Low Density Residential designation for
prop~rties located on the north side of Bluebeli Plac : at the northerly terminus of Vern Street, and
having a frontage of approximately 280 feet on the north side of Bluebell Place and having a
maximum depth of 90 feet (0.75 acre).
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the
Anaheim Civic Center, Council Chamber, 200 South Anaheim B~ulevard, on June 7, 1999, at 1:30 p.m.,
notice of said public hearing having been duly given as rr•;u~red by law and in accordance with the
provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and cons~der evidence for and against said General

Plan Amendments and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connecFion thEre~;r;;n;
and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due consideration, inspection, investigation and study
made by itself, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, DOES
HEREBY FIND:
1. That the evidence presented substantiates the need for amendment to the Anaheim
General Plan and that, therefore, the following five general plan amendment exhibits:

General Plan Amendment No. 363 - B, Exhibit A
General Plan Amendment No. 363 - C, Exhibit A
renera! Plan Amendment No. 363 - D, Exhibit A
General Plan Amendment No. 363 - E, Exhibit A
shouid be adopted re-designating subject areas for General Plan Amendment Nos. 363-A, 363-B, 363-C,
363-D and 363-E, from the Commercial Professional (363-A), Medium Density Residential (3Ei3-B),
General Commercial (363-C), Medium Density Residential (363-D) and Low-Medium Der~sify Residential
(363-E) designations to the Low Density Residential designation in order to preserve the sing;e family
character of each neighborhood.
2. That these properties consist of single-iemily residences that are generally well-
maintained and refiect a sense of pride and stabiliry; and thai these amendme~ts are intended to
preserve these neighborhoods by amending thi: Genera7 Plan to enco~~rage ttie continued use of these
properties for low density residential land uses.
3. That one concerned person spoke at the public hearing regarding the proposal, that no
one indicated their presence in opposirion, and that that no correspondence was received in opposition.
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUA~_~TY ACT FINDING: Thai the Anaheim Ciry Planning
Commission has reviewed the proposal to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan to change
the current land use designations from Commercial Pro(essional, General Commercial, Medium Density
Residential and Low-h4edium Density Residential to the Low Density Residential designation for five
neighborhood areas described as: (A) properties located on the east side of Euciid Street between Crone
Avenue on the north to a point 140 feet south of the centerline of Beacon Avenue to the south, having a
combined frontage of 535 feet on the east cide ot' Euclid Street and a depth ~~f approximately 66 feet (0.8

the environment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the above findings, the Anaheim City
Planning Commission does hereby adopt a~d recommend to t:~e City Councii of the City of Anaheim
adoption of the following five general pian amendment exhibits:
