Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and are expecting the message. Ms. Bass, please share this with the city council, city manager and city attorney. Council members, As you decide how best to move forward in filling the vacant Mayor’s position - until the voters decide in November - I want to share with you the perspective of a lifelong Anaheim resident (who served for fourteen years on the Council, including ten years as Mayor.) The ideal person must have an understanding of the city’s history, and a knowledge of the city’s various departments and services. The person should be familiar with key city administrators as well as the crucial institutions (business, non- profit, religious) of Anaheim. I am aware of no person more qualified in these areas than Paul Kott. In my experience, he has continually shown a remarkable loyalty to our city and a grasp of what matters to our residents. 1 Paul is careful, wise and fair. We can all benefit from those traits in the difficult months ahead. There’s no doubt in my mind that he will make us proud again of our city, if he’s appointed to serve the remainder of the Mayor’s term. Thank you for considering my perspective. Sincerely, Tom Daly Sent from my iPad 2
