Subject:\[EXTERNAL\] Campaign Finance Reform Ordinance (7/12)

Dear councilmembers,
I am disappointed in O'Neil, Ma'ae, and Diaz for rejecting the Campaign Finance Reform Ordinance. The
reason behind their votes is obvious. The new updates to the ordinance being presented today are a blatant
attempt to ignore the voice of the citizens of Anaheim who support Moreno's original ordinance. I urge the
council to restore the recusal of members from voting on items of financial interest to PAC donors. I urge the
council to restore the 6 month recusal period after votes benefitting campaign donors. I urge the council to
restore limiting fundraising to the year of election. Lastly, I urge the council to restore the public right to seek
remedy if the ordinance is violated.
Thank you for your time,
Stephanie Palomares.
