A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DENYING CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT NO. 1560 .
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a request for a Conditional Use Permit from
Gulf Oil Corporation for a billboard on the following
described property:
All that certain land situated in the State of
California, County of Orange described as follows:
The Easterly 265 feet of the North half of the
Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of Section 23, Township 4 South,
Range 11 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, as per map recorded in book 51, page
11, Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the
County Recorder of said county. EXCEPT the East
40.00 feet.
ALSO EXCEPT that portion described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the West line of the East
40.00 feet of said section, southerly 50.00 feet
from the North line thereof; thence Northerly
50.00 feet to said North line; thence Westerly
20.00 feet to a line parallel with and 60.00 feet
Westerly from the East line of said section; thence
Southerly 30.00 feet along said parallel line;
thence Southeasterly to a point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon
said request on. Se tember 1975 notices of which
said public hearing were duly --given as required by law and the
provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, in-
vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and
after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at
said hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. PC -18
denying Conditional Use Permit No. _1560" '

WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty-two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal
was filed with the City Council protesting the action of the
City Planning Commission in said Conditional
Use Permit and said appeal was set ftor pu li- hearing on

OctgDer 14 , 1971, at the City Hall, in the City
o Anaheim, and notices of such public hearing were duly given
as required by law and the provisions of Title 18,'Chapter 18.76
- of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hearing
and did give all personsinterested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, after careful
consideration of the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission and all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
that Conditional Use Permit No. 1560 should be denied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Com-
mission denying Conditional Use Permit No. 1560 be,
and the same is here y sustained , and that the request of
Gulf Oil Corporation for a billboard on the aforedescribed
property is herewith denied.
.THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
