Mayor and City Council,
I see that the City Council is considering creating a vision document and strategic plan at tonight's meeting.
Unfortunately, I can't attend tonight's meeting in person due to a previous engagement, but I'm excited to see the
council take up this discussion. Anaheim needs to be a city that provides a foundation for the creation of prosperity and
happiness for its residents.
The design and construction of Anaheim, and the services the City offers, all impact residents' prosperity and happiness.
Whether it's their ability to safely get to school or their daily errands, or their ability to easily see friends and family, or
the availability of places to start a new business, the structure of the city affects all of these things.
Prosperity and happiness for residents should be the core of any city's vision, and we should make it the core of
Anaheim's vision. This vision is a great first step towards creating a whole new General Plan with this vision at its center.
It would be a guiding document, not just for helping determine priorities for this council, but for the entire city for
decades to come.
I look forward to watching your discussion tonight, and I wish you all luck in finding a vision that everyone in the city can
agree upon.
With kindest regards,
Grant Henninger
