RESOLUTION NO. 75R-470
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
AND ABANDON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND FIXING
A DATE FOR HEARING THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1971, in connection with a request for vacation and
abandonment of an existing dedicated street commonly known as
Adams Street, located between Broadway and Manchester, east of
Loara Street, in the City of Anaheim, and more fully hereinafter
described, subject to the following conditions:
1. That a public utility easement be reserved over, under
and across all of said street together with all rights
of ingress and egress for maintenance purposes to ac-
commodate existing City of Anaheim, Southern Counties
Gas Company and Pacific Telephone Company facilities.
2. That applicant, at no cost to City, install standard
curb, gutter and pavement along the proposed new cul-
de-sac of Adams Street and at the intersection of
Mabel Street, substantially, in accordance with plans
and specifications of the City, as indicated on the
plans to be approved filed in reference to Special
Project No. 1083.
NOW, THEltEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it hereby declares its intention to
vacate, abandon and close to public use an existing dedicated
street commonly known as Adams Street, located between Broadway
and Manchester, east of Loara Street, in the City of Anaheim, as
it may relate to the following described property:
PARCEL ONE:
That portion of Adams Street, 60 feet wide, in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown
on a map of Record of Survey, filed in Book 92, page 9.
Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of
said County, and that portion of Mable Street, 50 feet wide,
in said City, described in the deed of easement to said
City, recorded on March 8, 1973, as Doc. 17367, recorded in
Book 10586, page 422, Official Records, included within the
following described lines:
Beginning at the southeasterly terminus of that certain
course in. the northeasterly boundary of said Mable Street,
described in said deed of easement as having a bearing and
length of S 570 08' 301: E, 222.03 feet, said southeasterly
terminus being the beginning of a tangent curve in the
northerly boundary of said Mable Street, said curve being
concave northwesterly and having a radius of 13.95 feet;
thence Southeasterly, Easterly and Northeasterly along. said
curve, through a central angle of 102036' 36", an arc'dis-
tance of 24.98 feet to its point of tan2encv in the north-

on said map of Record of Survey; thence S 570 08' 30B E
along the southeasterly prolongation of the northeasterly
line of said 8.092 acre parcel of land, 74.45 feet to a
point in the southeasterly line of said Adams Street;
thence S 690 09' 431i W along said southeasterly line,
155.37 feet to an angle point therein; thence S 200 141
54(:. W continuing along said southeasterly line of said
Adams Street, 365.71 feet to a point of cusp with a non-
tangent curve concave southwesterly, having a radius of
73.00 feet and being tangent at its point of ending to the
southeasterly prolongation of said certain course having a
bearing and length of S 570 08' 30'" E, 222.03 feet, said
point of ending being a point in the northwesterly line of
said Adams Street; thence Northerly and Northwesterly along
said curve, through a central angle of 770 23' 24", an arc
distance of 98.60 feet to said point of ending in said
southeasterly prolongation; thence N 570 081 30" W along
said southeasterly prolongation 20.43 feet to the point of
beginning.
Reserving therefrom an easement for public utility purposes
over, under and across all of Adams Street above described,
together with all rights of ingress and egress for mainten-
ance purposes.
Said reservation to be used for and by the City of Anaheim.
Pacific Telephone Co. and Southern Counties Gas Co. exist-
ing facilities.
PARCEL TWO:
That portion of Adams Street, included within the follow-
ing described lines:
Commencing at the southerly terminus of that certain course
having a bearing and length of N 150 32' 08" W, 282.12 feet
in the centerline of Adams Street, 60 feet wide, as shown
on a map of Record of Survey, filed in Book 92, page 9,
Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of
said County; thence N 150 32' 08L W along said eertain
course 28.40 feet to a point, said point being the center
of a curve concave northerly, having a radius of 35.00 feet
and being tangent to the southeasterly prolongation of the
northeasterly line of the 8.092 acre parcel of land as shown
on said map; thence S 710 58' 49.5' W along the radial line
of said curve, 35.00 feet to its point of intersection with
that certain course having a bearing the length of N 690 09'
43;: E, 153.31 feet in the northwesterly boundary of said
Adams Street, as shown on said map, said point of intersec-
tion being the True Point of Beginning; thence 5 690 09' 431~
W along said last mentioned course, 9.74 feet to the most
easterly corner of said 8.092 acre parcel of land; thence
S 570 08' 30i": E along the southeasterly prolongation of the
northeasterly line of said 8.092 acre parcel of land, 112.44
feet to its point of intersection with a line that is paral-
lel with and distant northeasterly 30.00 feet, measured at
right angles from said certain course and its southeasterly

angle of 1460 30' 45.5H, an arc distance of 89.50 feet
to the True Point of Beginning.
Reserving therefrom an easement for public utility pur-
poses together with all rights of ingress and egress for
maintenance purposes over, under, along and across the
hereinabove described real property.
and it elects to proceed under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1971, subject to the conditions hereinabove set
forth.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vaca-
tion and abandonment has been fixed on the 2'3rd day of
Sept~er ,1975, at 2:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be published in a.manner prescribed by law in the Anaheim
Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated in said City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed- by me
