RESOLUTION NO. 75R-349
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND FIXING A DATE FOB.
HEARING THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1971 in connection with a request for vacation and
abandonment of that portion of those certain public alleys
located between Santa Ana and Water Streets, west of Atchison
Street, in the City of Anaheim, more fully hereinafter de-
scribed, subject to the following conditions:
1. Reserving unto the City of Anaheim a public utility
easement for existing water line, drainage facil-
ities and sanitary sewer purposes together with all
rights of ingress and egress in and to the north-
south alley proposed for abandonment.
2. Reserving unto the City a public utility easement
to cover existing power poles, power lines, anchors,
cross arms and overhang wires together with all
right of ingress and egress in and to the north-
south alley proposed for abandonment.
3. Reserving unto the Southern California Gas Co. a
public utility easement 10 feet in width to accomo-
date existing gas lines together with all rights of
ingress and egress in and to the parcels proposed
for abandonment.
4. That the applicant will, at no cost to the City, in-
stall a gate at the south side of Santa Ana Street
at the northerly terminus of the alley to be aban-
doned, and that the City Public Utilities Department
and Southern California Gas Co. be permitted to in-
stall separate chain and loek.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it hereby declares its intention to
vacate, abandon and close to public use that portion of those
certain public alleys located between Santa Ana and Water Streets,
west of Atchison Street, in the City of Anaheim, as it may re-
late to the following described property:
That portion of those certain public alleys lying within a
portion of Block C of Resubdivision of Theodore Reiser's
Subdivision of Vineyard Lot G-2, as shown on a map recorded
in Book 1, pages 10 and 11, Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California, as described in Document re-
corded June 2, 1952 in Book 2337, page lOli Official
Records, to be abandoned, described as fol ows:
Parcel One: The westerly 35 feet of Lot 26 and the east-
erly 5 feet of Lot 27 in Block C of said Subdivision.
Parcel Two: The easterly 30 feet of Lots 15 through 23
in Block C of said Subdivision.
Reserving therefrom unto the City of Anaheim an easement
for public utility purposes for electric power poles,
anchors, cross arms, overhang electric power lines and an
easement for water lines, water meters and drainage pur-
poses together with all rights of vehicular access for in-
gress and egress, over, along, under and across all of the
area contained in Parcels One and Two above-described and
sanitary sewer.
Parcel Three: That certain 20-foot str"ip of land lying
between Lots 14, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 all in Block C of
said Subdivision.
Reserving unto the Southern California Gas Company an
easement 10 feet in width lying partially within Parcel
Two and Parcel Three above-described, the centerline of
said strip of land is described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast corner of Lot 14 in Block C
in said Subdivision; thence North 8 feet to an intersec-
tion with a line parallel with and 8 feet northerly of
the north line of said Lot 14, said point of intersection
being the true point of beginning of the line herein de-
scribed; thence Westerly along said parallel line a di8-
tance of 149.50 feet to an intersection with a line paral-
lel with and 5~ feet easterly of the northerly prolonga-
tion of the easterly line of Lot 23 in Block C of said
Subdivision; thence Southerly along said parallel line a
distance of 25 feet, more or less; thence Westerly at
right angles to an intersection with the easterly line
of said Lot 23, said point of intersection being the point
of te~nus of the line herein described.
and it elects to proceed under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1971, subject to the reservations hereinabove
set forth.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and" place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed yaca-
tion and abandonment has been fixed on the 29th day of
July , 1975, at 2:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber
in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be published in a manner prescribed by law in the
Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in said City of Anahe~.
