72R-008 ...-- RESOLUTION NO. 72R-8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANABELM GRANTING VARIANCE NO. 228.1. WHEREAS, after a request for variance by J. P. Edmondson Properties, Ltd., OWner; Pederal Sign & Signal Corp., Agent, was received, a public hearing before the Planning Commi.ss-ion of the City of Anaheim was held upon due and proper notice as a result of which Variance No. 2281 was denied COYer- ing the following described property: That portion of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 22, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as per map recorded in book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of land described in Torrens Title Certificate No. 47 on file in the Office' of the Registrar of Titles of Orange County, California, said point being on the North and South quar~er section line of said Section 22 and distant North 00 16' 05.11 West 42.93 feet fram the intersection of said line with the center line of Cerritos Avenue as described in deed to the County of Orange, recorded July 15, 1926 in book 662, page 292 of Deeds; thence North 00 16' 05 II Wes.t along said North and South quarter section line a distance of 410.73 feet to the Southwesterly corner of the land described in the lease to Harvey Hiers and others, recorded November 9, 1955 in book 3276, page 359 of Official Records~ thence along the Southerly line of said last mentioned land North 890 57 I 00" East 300..00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence along said Southerly line South 890 57' 00" West 240.00 feet t.o. the Easterly line of Harbor Boulevard, 120.00 feet wide, as shown on a Record of Survey Map filed in book 83, page 25 of Record of Surveys in the Office of the County Recorder of said County; thence along said Harbor Boulevard North 00 16' 0511 West 102.11 feet to the Southwesterly- corner of the land described in the lease t.o Tidewat.er Oil Company recorded October 25, 1956 in book 3690, page 224 of Official Recordsi thence along the Southerly line of said last mentioned land North 890 57' 00" East 130..00 feet; thence North 440 50' 28" East 28.23 feet to the Easterly line of said last mentioned land: thence alonq said Easterly line North 00 16' OS" West. .130.00 feet to the Southerly line of Manchester Avenue as described in the deed to the City of Anaheim recorded October 16, 1964 in book 7264, page 373 of Official Records and as shown on said Record of Survey Map; thence along said Manchester Avenue Easterly along a curve concave Southerly having a radius of 205.00 feet from which a tangent bears North 890 57' 00" East through a central angle of 140 04' 11" an arc distance of 50.34 feet and Easterly along a reverse curve concave Northerly having a radius of 295.00 feet. through a central angle of 70 56" 2211 an arc distance of - . - - - - -... WHEREAS, t.hereaf1:er, within the time prescribed by law an interested party or the City Council on its own mot.ion caused the review of said Planning Commission action at a public hearing noticed and held as prescribed by law and as a result thereof the City Council does hereby make the follow- ing findings: 1. That there are special circumstances applicable t.o the" property, including si:ze, shape, topography, location or surroundings, which do not apply to othe"r property under identical zoning classifica- t.ion in the vicinity. 2. That because of special ci~cumstances shown in (1) above, strict application of the zoning code deprives the property of privileges' enjoyed by other property under identical zoning classifications in the vicinity.
