A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR PAYING AND REPORTING THE
VALUE OF EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS
UNDER THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIltEMENT SYSTEM
FOR SAFETY POLICE EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has the authority to implement
Government Code Section 20636 {C) (4) pursuant to Section 20691; and
*~~ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has a written agreement which
specifically provides for the normal member contributions to be paid by the employer, and
reported as additional compensation; and
WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedures to implement Section 20691 is the
adoption by the City Council of the City of Anaheim of a Resolution to commence paying and
reporting the value of said Employer Paid Member Contribution (EPMC}; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has identified the following
conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC:
1. This benefit shall apply to all Safety Police PERS employees.
2. Implementation of EPMC will be according to the following schedule:
January 13, 2006 2.0%
June 30, 2006 4.5%
January 12, 2007 9.0%
3. The effective date of this resolution shall be January 13, 2006.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Anaheim elects to pay and report the value of EPMC, asset forth above.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 14th day of February 2006.
