63-0991RESOLUTION NO. 63R-991 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM" REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN: THE ARTER IAL H IGHWAY F I NANC-ING° PROGRAM THE 3 DEVELOPMENT OF PLACENTI,„ -Y ©RBA BOI JJ VARD': d WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to improve Placentia- yorba Boulevard from Mii1 r Street to D9wlin2 Avenue and WHEREAS, P1ac ntia -Ygrb. ,Doujpvard, is an important artery in the County of Orange and of general County interest; and WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter'9 Division 2 of the Streets and Highways Code .authorises a- Countyo�.2 it it so desires, to expend funds apportioned to it out of the California Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improvement, construction or repair of a street within a Cityl and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to by appropriate action, provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year 1964 6 a sum of money for the improve ment of streets within the incorporated cities of the County in ac- cordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BEAT IT RESOLVED, byp the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim hereby requests the Board of Super- visors of the County of Orange to allocate to said City from County Funds the amount of $74,000.00 said' amount to be matched by funds from said. City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement of Plgcentia -Yorba Boulevard from Miller. Street to ,.Dnw1ine Avenue 9 and for the acquisition of necessary rights' of way; said improvements and acquisition of rights of way to be in accordance with the attached project statement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisim tion of rights of way on Placep.tig -Yorba Bgul,Qy d In in the manner provided, is in the general County interest, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Anaheim agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financ- ing Program; and further agrees that its share of the cost of improve- ments and rights of way will be available for the fiscal year 1964 -65 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California, and a.certified copy to the County Surveyor and Road Commissioner, Court House Annex, Santa Ana, California.
