Anaheim, CA 92806
1.What is the primary purpose of your business? Is the sale of alcohol an
essential part of the primary purpose of the business?
The primary purpose is to operate an Extra Mile Convenience Store with fuel
sale. The Sale of beer and wine is an essential part of the complete consumer
product offering by Extra Mile.
2.Are there similar businesses or a concentration of alcohol outlets in the
immediate area that already provide alcohol service? If so, how would the
public convenience or necessity be served by permitting an additional

The nearest similar offering is located at 2000 E. La Palma Avenue however, it is
on different census tract. As required by Extra Mile building design, the floor plan
layout and the inventory of product will conform to the prototypical Extra Mile
model. This project will be a benefit to the city at large, and to local residents,
because the store design is familiar, the food and beverage items are consistent
with other Extra Mile Convenience stores. The Business model is very
convenient for automobile owners who appreciate the opportunity to purchase
convenience store items while they’re fueling their cars. Based on the
Department of alcoholic Beverage control the census tract 0864.04, there is only
one type 20 active alcohol license with similar operation located at 1200 N. East

4. What percentage of your business do you anticipate will be alcohol sales?
The sale of alcohol sales is anticipated to be approximately 10% of total gross
sale of business

currently available in the area?
Chevron Gas station and Extra Mile Convenience store offer a wide variety of
convenience and food items not available within immediate area. The project will
cater to all Anaheim residents and commuting visitors. The business will provide
one stop shop for consumers to purchase convenience store products as well as
fueling their vehicles.
6. Are you proposing any specific operational measures to eliminate or limit
any potential negative consequences from the sale of alcoholic beverages?
The Extra Mile convenience store operates with state of the art technology that
calculates and confirms customers age as part of every alcohol-sales
transaction. When a cashier scans an alcohol beverage, the register will not
complete the transaction unless valid identification is presented and verified. The
managers and all staff members are offered to attend the License Education on
Alcohol and Drugs (‘LEAD”) program, offered by ABC, on regular basis and keep
current regarding California’s laws governing the sale of alcohol.
The facility will be equipment with security cameras with sound capability.
Security cameras will be installed at locations which provide the best vantage
point for monitoring purposes. The exterior cameras will capture activities
surrounding convenience store as well as parking lot and under fueling canopy.
All staff members are advised of the cameras over the cash register and are
warned if any sale of alcohol occurs to a minor, it will result to immediate
termination. The current technology allows management team to view camera
footage in and outside the store in real time from remote location.
In addition parking lot lighting will promote safety on the site and facilitate clear
pictures from the exterior cameras. The exterior cameras will be visible to
customers outside the store, and together with signage prohibiting loitering, will
allow management to prevent unwanted behavior, if occurs.
7. What type of license are you requesting from ABC? Is it an existing
license? Where is the license being purchased from?
We are requesting Type 20 alcohol license for sale of beer and wine for offsite
consumption. The license is not being purchased from any facility
