Subject:\[EXTERNAL\] Item 19 on todays council agenda

Hello,
As a small business owner and resident of Anaheim, I urge the city council to not approve item 19 which will put a
minimum wage of $25.
Setting wages this high will not only effect our resort audience and draw some tourist away (our convention center has
not yet stood back on its feet since 2020, and Disney tourists will look to vacation else where if our hotel rates are higher
than Florida’s), this will also harm every small business in the city.
We have been struggling with finding employees to keep our businesses running, increasing the minimum wage on
hotels near our businesses will make it impossible for us to find employees to hire! Who would want to work for a small
business for $17 an hour when a hotel next door is paying $25???
Your consideration to this matter is extremely appreciated! We cannot afford to draw away more visitors, and we
certainly cannot afford losing more small businesses!
Thanks in advance
