Public Comments Audio 2 May 8, 2023 PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS ITEM NO. 1 DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION NO. 2022-00079 Location: 1401 West Ball Road and 865 – 955 South Walnut Street Request: The applicant requests a variance to install a fence and pilasters with a height greater than permitted by the Zoning Code within the required street setback. Environmental Determination: The Planning Commission will consider whether to find the project Categorically Exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15303, Class 3 (New Construction). Approved Resolution No. PC2023-015. MOTION: (Henninger/Perez) VOTE: 6-0 Chairperson Kring, and Commissioners Castro, Henninger, Perez, Tran-Martin, and Walker voted yes. OPPOSITION: None DISCUSSION TIME: 18 minutes (5:04 p.m. to 5:22 p.m.) 3 May 8, 2023 ITEM NO. 2 DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION NO. 2023-00015 Location: 2804 West Lincoln Avenue Request: The applicant requests approval of a conditional use permit and a determination of public convenience or necessity to the permit the sales of alcoholic beverages for off-premises consumption (Type 21 Off-Sale General ABC License) in conjunction with the relocation of an existing convenience store to another tenant space within an existing commercial retail center. Environmental Determination: The Planning Commission will consider whether the proposed action is Categorically Exempt from the requirements to prepare additional environmental documentation per California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301, Class 1 (Existing Facilities). Approved Resolution No. PC2023-016. MOTION: (Henninger/Perez) VOTE: 6-0 Chairperson Kring, and Commissioners Castro, Henninger, Perez, Tran-Martin, and Walker voted yes.
