5.NEW BUSINESS:
A.Communicating with Anaheim Seniors – Commissioner Brown submitted a sample post card for
commissioners to review from the City of Fullerton that was sent to their residents and asked Wendy if she
was able to see if that would be possible for Anaheim to do. Wendy is investigating having information
distributed in the Anaheim Public Utility inserts and will report back in January. She mentioned budget
constraints may make a separate mailing cost prohibitive. She will notify commissioners if there is anything
to report sooner. Commissioner Brown asked about how seniors are notified about the food distribution
opportunities. Wendy stated that information is published in the Anaheim Senior Citizen’s Club Courier
publication and through the City’s website. .
6.UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
A.Senior Citizen Commission Collection & Distribution of Face Masks – Chair Yagar stated that
commissioners have been distributing masks that have been donated, and it has been suggested that they
curb those distributions over the holidays and start up again in January. Commissioner Brown reported on
some donations she is anticipating and she believes there will be sufficient masks for distribution in
January.
