A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION FOR
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIMJ. DESIGNATING THE TERRITORY
AS THE RINKER ANNEXATluN .

DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRItORY PROPOSED
TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE DAY, 'HOUR
AND PLACE WHERE AND WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL
PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED. TO BE
ANNEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE. CITY COUNCIL AND
SHOW CAUSE lfi Y SUCH TERRITORY _ SHOULD NOT BE
ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on
the 25th day of January Sl 19 66 Sl receive a written
petition asking that certain new territory described in said
petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, prior to the circulation or filing of said
petition, notice of intention to annex sa~d territory, containing
the specific boundaries of the territory ~o be annexed, was filed
with the Local Agency Annexation Co~ission; and, .
WHEREAS, said Local Agency Anne~ation Commission has .
rendered its decision, as provided in Section 54766 of the Govern-
ment Code, approving said annexation; and '
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the pro-
posal for the annexation of the territory hereinafter described
to the City of Anaheim was submitted to the Boundary Commission.
of the County of Orange, State of Ca1ifomia, and reported upon
by said Boundary Commission with respect to the definiteness
and ce.rtainty of the proposed boundaries>> and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
Ca1ifomia, and is contiguous to the C.ity of Anaheim and is un-
inhabited territo~y, and said petition contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
Resolution described; and

WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and
r~ports received t,hat at the time of th~ filing and receipt of
said petition, it was and now is signed by owners of not less
than' one-fourth (%) of the land in the territory by area and
by assessed value in the territory proP9sed to be annexed,
according to the last preceding equalized county assessment
roll; and

WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and
reports received and from said petitio~ ~bat at the time of
the filing and presentation of said petition that said new
territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did
not form a part of any municipal corp~ration and that said
territory was uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition
and evidence and reports received.that the boundaries of the
territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim
are as follows, to wit:

PROPOSED RINKER ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
That portion of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, described

Beginning at a point in the existing City Limit line of. the City of Anaheim, being the

most Northeast corner of the Northeast Annexation No. 3 to the City of Anaheim, passed
by Ordinance No. 1542, January 17, 1961, filed with the Secretary of State July 10,
1964 and recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Official Records of Orange

County, California, July 17, 1964; thence
1. Leaving the said existing City of Anaheim City Limit line along a portio~ of the North
line of the land designated as Bernardo M. Yorba, Jr., et a1, shown on a'Map of Survey
filed in nook 53, page 44 of Record of Surveys in the office of the Cou~ty Recorder
of said Orange County, California, the following courses and distances:;" North 750 09'

40" East 394.21 feet, "North 750 49' 14" East 997.45 feet to the Northwest corner of
Parcel No. 2 of that certain parcel of land conveyed to the P1acentia Unified School
District of Orange County, California by Final Order of Condemnation recorded April
18, 1963 in Book 6514, pages 183 and 184 of Official Records of Orange County, California;
thence
2. Following along the Westerly and Southerly boundary of the land conveyed to said School
District the following courses and distances: South 50 34' 21" West 595.53 feet, South
840 25' 39" East 307.82 feet to the Southeast corner of the parcel. of land conveyed to
said School District; thence
3. Leaving the land conveyed to said Schoo~ Dis~rict South 120 19' 00" East 226 feet, more
or less, to an intersection with the Southerly line of the aforemention~d parcel of land
designated Bernardo M. Yorba, Jr., et a1, shown on the aforementioned ~~ord of Survey
filed in Book 53, page 44 of Re~ord of Surveys in the office of the County Recorder of
said Orange County,' California; thence
4. North 840 25' 39" West 1,589 feet, more or less, along a portion of the ,Southerly line
of the said 1a~d of Bernardo M. Yorba, Jr., et a1, to the Southwesterly corner thereof,
said Southwesterly corner being a~oint in the existing City of Anaheim City Limit 1i~e,
as established by the aforementioned Northeast Annexation No.3, said point being distant
South 100 56' 03" East 350.41 feet from the point of beginning of the ~rea herein
deacribedi thence
5. . North 100 56' 03" West 350.41 feet along a portion of said existing Ci~y of Anaheim
City Limit line, also being the Westerly line of the land of said Bernardo M. Yorba,
Jr., et a1, to the point of. beginning.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that such proposed ~nexation be designated
as RINKER ANNEXATION and that notice of such proposed annexation
be hereby given as hereinafter provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be
had upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than
sixty (60) days after the passage of this resolution, unless the
owner or owners of all of the territory to be annexed have peti-
tioned for annexation or filed their consents to such annexation,
in writing, with the City Council in which event the hearing
shall be set at any time after compliance with Section 35311 of
the Government Code.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
find that the owner or owners of all of the territory proposed
to be annexed have petitioned for annexation or filed their con-
sents to such annexation, in writing, with the City Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ls~ day of March, 1966,
at the hour of 1:30 0'c10ck P.M., at the City Council Chamber
in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim be, and the same is here-
by, fixed as the day, hour and place when and where the City
Council will hear protests made by any owner or owners of real
property within the territory proposed to be annexed; and that
at any time before the closing of said hearing on protests, any
owner of property within said territory may file with the City
Clerk a written protest against the annexation. Said protest
shall be in writing and shall state the name of the owner of the
property affected and the description and area of the property
in general terms.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a copy of this
resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than
once a week, in a newspaper of ,enera1 circulation, published
in the City, to wit: The Anahe1m Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange
County, California, and that such publication shall be completed
at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of hearing herein-
above specified.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to any person who has filed his name and address and the desig-
nation of lands in which he has any interest, either legal or
equitable, with said Clerk; and in the event that land within
the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim is
owned by a County, the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall
also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be
mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County. The fore-
going notices shall be given not less than twenty (20) days
before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 25th day of January, 1966.
