A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR THE PURPOSE
OF CREATING A NON -REPRESENTED
CLASSIFICATION, ASSIGNING THE RATE OF
COMPENSATION, AMENDING THE
PERSONNEL RULES AND POLICIES
COVERING NON -REPRESENTED FULL-TIME
AND PART-TIME EMPLOYEES TO UPDATE
APPENDIX B, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION
NO. 2023-084
WHEREAS, Section 1.05.020.0103 of the Anaheim Municipal Code requires the
Human Resources Director to maintain and administer the position classification and
compensation plan; and
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report
dated October 17, 2023, that the need exists to create a classification, rate of compensation, and
pay policies for the classification designated as Non -Represented Full -Time effective October 27,
2023; and
WHEREAS, terms and conditions of employment for employees serving in
classifications that are not represented by a recognized bargaining unit are set forth in the
Personnel Rules Covering Non -Represented Full -Time and Part -Time Employees last updated
in its entirety by City Council Resolution No. 2023-084; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that creating the
classification and amending the Personnel Rules and Policies Covering Non -Represented Full -
Time and Part -Time Employees to incorporate the newly created classification is in the best
interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
SECTION 1.
That effective the pay period beginning October 27, 2023, Appendix B, Non -Represented
Non -Sworn Management of the Personnel Rules and Policies Covering Non -Represented Full -
Time and Part -Time Employees, is hereby amended by including the classification title and rate
of compensation for the following classification:
Classification Salary Range
Assistant City Attorney — Confidential $156,264 - $234,396 (XCR23)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Human Resources Director shall be
delegated with the authority to publish the authorized salary schedule in Personnel Rules and
Policies Covering Non -Represented Full -Time and Part -Time Employees in any format meeting
the requirements of the California Code of Regulations section 570.5.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 2023-084 be repealed effective
October 17, 2023.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 171b day of October, 2023 by the following roll call vote:
