For the subject site, our firm was contracted to provide consulting to verify the capacity of the existing
roof framing that will undergo a reroofing.
The roof is framed by 2x 10 R.R. @ 12" o.c. for a portion of the structure as well as 2x8 @ 12" o.c.
in other areas.
The roofing material proposed is Monier Lifetile 5pani5h "5" Tile, the total design dead load is
presented in page 2 of the supporting calculations. The roofing material itself is specified to be 9.0
psf and can be substituted for any roofing material that is equal to or less than 9.0 psf.
The existing structure was found to be adequate to support the proposed re -roofing.
