A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT NO. 1073
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive an application for a conditional use permit
from The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Los Angeles and Standard
Oil Company of California, Western Operations, Inc., 605 West
Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90015, to permit the
replacement of an existing billboard with an expanded billboard,
on the property hereinafter described, with a waiver of the maxi-
mum display area (Section 18.63.050(e] of the Anaheim Municipal
Code). Said property is situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, and is more particularly described
as follows:

The West 200.00 feet of the South 125.00 feet of
the North 191.00 feet of the Northwest Quarter of
the Northwest Quarter of Section 14, Township 4
South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes,
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of Cali-
fornia, as per map recorded in Book 51, Page 11 of
Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County
Recorder of said county.
EXCEPTING THEREFORM the Westerly 50.00 feet thereof.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon
said application on NovemL 18 19 68 notices of
which said public hearing were duly given as required by law
and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, in-
vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and
after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at
said hearing did adopt its Resolution No. PC68 -332 £x
denying Conditiofial Use Permit No. 1073
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty -two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal
was filed with the City Council protesting the action of the
City Planning Commission in denying said Conditional Use
Permit and said appeal was set for public hearing on
December 17 19 68 at the City Hall, in the City of
Anaheim, and notices of suc public hearing were duly given as
required by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76
of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and lace fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to
be heard and did receive evidence and reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after careful
of the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission and all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,

L o roposed use is properly one for which a
Conditional Use Permit is authorized by the
Anaheim Municipal Code.
The proposed use will not adversely affect the
adjoining land use and the growth end develop-
ment of the area in which it is proposed to be
located.
The size and shape of the site proposed for the
use is adequate to allow the full development of
the proposed use in a manner not detrimental to
the particular area nor to the peace, health,.
safety and general welfare.
The traffic generated by the proposed use will
not impose an undue burden upon the streets and
highways designed and i proved to carry the
.traffic in the -area
5. The granting 'of the Conditional Use Permit under
the conditions imposed will not be detrimental to
the peace, health, safety and general welfare of
the citizens of the City of Anaheim.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commis
sibn claTly4a said Conditional Use Permit be, and the same
is hereby d pproved and that Conditional Use Permit
No. 1073 be, and the same is herby, granted permitting
the replacement of an existing billboard with an expanded bill-
board, on the property hereinbefore described, with a waiver of
the maximum display area (Section 18.63.050[e] of the Anaheim
Municipal Code), subject to the following conditions:
1. That subject property shall be developed
tially in accordance with the plans and specifications on
file with the City of Anaheim, marked Exhibit No. 1, as
recommended by the Interdepartmental Committee, and amended
as outlined by the authorized agent the applicants to
allow a sign of single -post construction, the post to be
located 50 feet from property lines; and the sign to encroach
not more than 6 feet into the established 35 -foot setback
area.
2. That the applicants shall sign a waiver to absolve
the City of Anaheim from any expense in connection with re-
locating said sign should Lincoln Avenue be widened in the
future.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
such Conditional Use Permit forrrcjbod cause or failure of said
owners, their successors or assigns, to comply with the Anaheim
Municipal Code and regulations and the conditions herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 17th day of December, 1968.
