A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A
REQUEST TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION
FOR FUNDS FROM THE CROSSING PROTECTION. FUND
FOR PROTECTION OF CROSSING NO. 2 -167.4
AT THE :INTERSECTION �OF THE ATCHISON, TOPEKA
AND:SANTA_FE- RAILROADAND SYCAMORE STREET, IN
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Atchison, Topek. and Santa Fe Railway Cnmpany
and the City of Anaheim have entered_ a.contract for the
erection of crossing protection at Crossing No.2 -167.4
at the intersection of The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Rail-
road and Sycamore Street., and
WHEREAS, the legislature of the dtate`of California
has created a crossing protection fund for the assistance of
local agencies in the construction of crossing protections to be
administered by the Public Utilities Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Commission, by its order
in Public Utility Commission Case No. 5495, has prescribed that
certain information and exhibits be set forth in requests for
crossing protection funds, including a_ resolution from the legis-
lative body of the local agency authorizing:the submission of a
request for said funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a request in conformity with the pro-
cedure contained in the order in Public Utility Commission Case
No. 5495 be submitted to the Public Utilities Commission, re-
questing funds from the Crossing Protection,Fund for the protec-
tion ofCrossing.No. 2- 167.4 at the intersection of
The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad and Sycamore Street,
in the f i ty of Anaheim
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Engineering Department
of the City of Anaheim shall take all necessary steps to prepare
and submit such request to the Public Utilities Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be, and he is
hereby, authorized to execute said request for crossing protec-
tion funds and to verify said request as prescribed in Appendix
"A" of said order in Public Utility Commission Case No. 5495.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 5th day of November 1968
