RESOLUTION NO. 66R-178
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
CUTION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH KA YCO
CORPORATION WITH REFERENCE TO TEMPORARY ACCESS
TO THE ANAHEIM STADIUM.

WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to obtain tem-
porary access to the Anaheim Stadium parking lot across the
real property of Kayco Corporation, and to construct a temporary
roadway across the real property hereinafter described and use
such roadway until such time as it acquires, through eminent
domain proceedings, the land lying south of Kate11a Avenue
and to the East of Kayco Corporation's land; and
WHEREAS, Kayco Corporation is willing to lease said
property to the City to provide such access for a fixed period of
one year with the possibility of a longer period at the discre-
tion of said Kayco Corporation; and
WHEREAS, a form of lease agreement to be made and entered
into between the parties has this day been submitted to the City
Council providing for the leasing of said property to the City
for a temporary roadway access to the Anaheim Stadium, for a
term of one year, at a monthly rental, payable in advance, of
$140.00 per month, upon the terms and conditions set forth in
said lease agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the terms and
conditions of said lease agreement are satisfactory, and that
the same should be approved.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City 01 Anaheim titat the lease agreement this day sub-
mitted to the City Council to be made and entered into by and
between KAYCO CORPORATION, as Lessor, and the CITY OF ANAHEIM,
as Lessee, providing for the leasing of the hereinafter des-
cribed property to the City for a temporary roadway access to
the Anaheim Stadium, for a term of one year, at a monthly rental,
payable in advance, of $140.00 per month, upon the terms and
conditions set forth in said lease agreement, be, and the same
is hereby approved. Said property is described as follows:
That portion of Lots 4 and 5 of Tract No. 71, as shown on
a Map recorded in Book 10, page 22 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California, in the City of Ana-
heim, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the centerline intersection of Katella Avenue
and State College Boulevard, formerly Placentia Avenue, as
shown on a Map filed in Book 51, page 38 of Record of
Surveys in the office of the County Recorder of said County;
thence a10n, said centerline of State College Boulevard,
South 00 08 00" East, 538.37 feet to an intersection with
the North line of that certain parcel of land conveyed to
the City of Anaheim by deed recorded August 25, 1964 in
Book 7192, page 81 of Official Records of said Orange
County, California; thence South 890 59' 15" East 435.00

feet along a portion of the North line of the said land con-
veyed to the City of Anaheim to an intersection with the
Southerly prolongation of the. Easterly line of the land
described as Parcel No. 1 in the deed to W. H. Jewett
recorded September 1, 1960 in Book 5400, page 238 of
Official Records of Orange CduntYJ California, said point
of .intet:section being the true point of beginning of the
hereinafter described parcel of land; thence continuing
along a portion of the North line of the last mentioned
parcel of land conveyed to the City of Anaheim, South
890 591 15" East 97.50 feet; thence North 00 081 00" West
466.95 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave
Southeasterly and having a radius of 34.50 feet; thence
Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 320
261 57" an arc distance of 19.54 feet to a point on the
Southerly right of way line of Kate11a Avenue, 120 feet
wide, said point being a point on the arc of a curve, con-
cave Northw~ster1y and havi98 a radius of 1,060 feet, a
radial_line bearing South 60 351 19" East passes through
said point; thence Soutbwester~y al~ng said last mentioned
curve, through a central angle of 5 341 29" an arc distance
of 103.14 feet to an intersection with the Easterly line of
the land described as Parcel No. One in "the aforementioned
deed to W. H. Jewett; thence South 00.081 00" East 478.62
feet along a portion of the said Easterly line of the land
described in Parcel No. One to said W. H. Jewett and the
Southerly prolongation thereof to the true point of begin-
ning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said lease agree-
ment for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION 1$ signed and approved by
