RESOLUTION NO. 5627
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF LAND
FOR HIGHWAY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Oscar Frank Schultz, a married man, as
his sole and separate property; Jesse Arriola and Dolores N.
Arriola, husband and wife; Henry E. Tafolla and Sally M.
Tafolla, husband and wife; Tomas Martinez and Jessie
Martinez, husband and wife; and Paul Muro, Sr., and
Antonia Muro, husband and wife, have granted to the City of
Anaheim the following described parcels of real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, by deeds on said respective parcels of real pro-
perty, which deeds were accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim on September 15, 1959, said parcels of real
property contained in said deeds more particularly described
as follows:
Oscar frank Schultz:
An easement for road and public utility purposes
over, under and across the Southerly 12 feet of that
parcel of land described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the North line of East La
Palma Avenue, which point being 30 feet Northerly of
the center line of said East La Palma Avenue and
406.87 feet Easterly measured alon~ said North line
from the center line of North Olive street; thence
Easterly along said North line of East La Palma
Avenue, a distance of 190.00 feet; thence Northerly
along a line parallel with the said center line of
Nortb Olive Street, a distEnce of 240.00 feet; thence
Westerly along a line parallel ~ith the said North
line of East La Falma Avenue, a distance of 190.00
feet; thence Southerly 24C.OO feet to the point of
beginnirg.
Jesse Arricla and Dolores N. Arriola:
An easement for road and public utility purposes
over, under and across the Southerly 11 feet of that
parcel of land described as follows:
Lot Six (6) of the Gresswell Subdivision, as
shown on a map filed in Book 6, Page 47, Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California.
Henry E. Tafolla and Sally M. Tafolla:

of the Gresswell SubdiVision, as Sh01rlfi on a map
recorded in Book 6, Page 47 of Miscellaneous Maps,

Tomas Martinez and Jessie Martinez:
An easement for road and public utility purposes
over, under and across that parcel of land described
as follows:
The Southerly 11 feet of Lot 1 of the Gresswell
Subdivision, as shown on a map recorded in Book 6,
Page 47 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California.
Paul Muro, Sr., and Antonia Muro:
An easement for road and public util ity purposes
over, under and across that parcel of land described
as follows:
The Southerly 11 feet of Lot 5 of the Gresswell
Subdivision, as shown on a map recorded in Book 6,
Page 47 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California.
and
W~REAS, it is necessary and desirable for the
City of Anaheirr to have said property heretofore described
for the widening of a portion of that certain highway
commonly known a s La Palma P"venue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that it is for the best interests. of the City of Anaheim to
acquire said parcels of said real property for said purposes;
and
w~EREAS, said Oscar Frank Schultz, a married man,
as his sole and separate property; Jesse Arriola and Dolores
N. Arriola, husband and wife; Henry E. Tafolla and Sally M.
Tafolla, husband and wife; Tomas Martinez and Jessie
Martinez, husband and wife; and Paul Muro, Sr. and Antonia
Muro, husband and wife, have offered said accepted deeds to
the City of Anaheirr, for highway purposE~s in the following
amounts: Oscar Frank SChultz, $440.00; Jesse Arriola and
Dolores N. Arriola, $200.00; Henry E. Tafolla and Sally M.
Tafolla, $143.00; Tomas Martinez and Jessie Martinez, $143.00;
and Paul Muro, Sr., and Antonia Muro, $143.00, and have
granted in said deeds to the City of Anaheim an eas8ffient
of right of way in the respectively described real property
for highway purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the above described respective
p2rcels of land be purchased for a consideration in the
followin!; sums:

Jesse Arriola and Dolores N. Arriola
Henry E. Tafolla and Sally M. Tafolla
Tomas Martinez and Jessie Martinez
Paul Muro, Sr., and Antonia Muro

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of
the City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby authorized to pay
out to the respective owners of said real property, or their
autr.orized representatives, those stuns indicated with
respect to each parcel of land as above described.
THE fOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me tbif, lOth day of November, 1959.
