A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRI-
TORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATING THE
TERRITORY AS THE BLUE GUM CORONADO ANNEXATION
DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRITORY
PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE
DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND WHEN ANY PERSON
OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY SO
PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE
CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY
SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
on the 17th day of May 1966 receive a written
petitio a ng that certain new territory described in said
petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, prior to the circulation or filing of said
petition, notice of intention to annex said territory, contain-
ing the specific boundaries of the territory to be annexed, was
filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission; and
WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission has
rendered its decision, as provided in Section 54766 of the
Government Code, approving said annexation; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to
said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State
of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is
uninhabited territory, and said petition contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and
reports received that at the time of the filing and receipt of
said petition, it was and now is signed by owners of not less
than one fourth (1/4) of the land in the territory by area and
by assessed value in the territory proposed to be annexed,
according to the last preceding equalized county assessment
roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and
reports received and from said petition that at the time of
the filing and presentation of said petition that said new
territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did
not form a part of any municipal corporation and that sai6
territory was uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition
and evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the
territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim
are as follows, to wit:

That parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of Cali
fornia, described as follows
Beginning at a point in the existing City Limit line of the City of
Anaheim as established by the La Palma Rio Vista Annexation to the City
of Anaheim passed by Ordinance Noe 2211, November 9, 1965, filed with the
Secretary of State December 14, 1965 and recorded December 20, 1965 in the
office of the County Recorder of Official Records of Orange County, Cali-
fornia, said point of beginning being the point of intersection of the East
line of Lot 8 of the South Placentia Tract No. 1, as shown on a Map re-
corded in Book 5, page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California, with the Southerly line of that certain parcel of land conveyed
to the State of California by deed recorded April 29, 1954 in Document Num-
ber 31735 of Official Records of Orange County, California; thence
1. Following along a portion of the existing City of Anaheim City Limit line
as established by said La Palma Rio Vista Annexation, also being the
Southerly line of the land described in the deed to the State of California
above mentioned, the following courses and distances2 South 60 46' 49"
East 30.,00 feet; thence North 45 55' 08" East 52.20 feet to the intersec-
tion thereof with the Southwesterly right of way line of California State
Highway, Route ORA 91 (142 feet wide), formerly known as Route ORA 175 -B;
thence
2. South 60 46' 49" East 2,327 feet, more or less, continuing along the said
existing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim, also being the Southwest-
erly right of way line of said State highway, ORA Route 91, to an angle
point described in the deed to the State of California, as Document Number
32064, recorded April 30, 1954 in Official Records of Orange County, Cali-
fornia; thence
3. South 4 35' 10" East 33039 feet along said existing City of Anaheim City
Limit line, also being a portion of the Southwesterly line as described in
above mentioned Document No. 32064 to the State of California; thence
4. Continuing along the said existing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim,
leaving the Southwesterly line described in said Document No. 32064 South
9 51' 43" West 29.87 feet to an intersection with the Southwesterly pro-
longation of the Southerly line of that certain parcel of land conveyed
to the State of California by deed recorded March 3, 1965 in Book 7431,
pages 693 through 697, inclusive, of Official Records of Orange County,
California; thence
5. North 51 41' 38" East 192,51 feet, more or less, leaving the said exist-
ing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim, along said prolongation to the
most Southerly corner of the last mentioned land conveyed to the State
of California; thence

conveyed to the State of California to the Southeast corner thereof; thence
7 North 38 18' 22" West 20 feet along a portion of the Easterly line of the
last mentioned parcel of land conveyed to the State of California to an
intersection with the Northerly right of way line of La Palma Avenue (40
feet wide) said La Palma Avenue being shown as an unnamed street lying
within Block 11 of the Golden State Tract, shown on a Map recorded in Book
4, pages 66 and 67 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, Cali-
fornia; thence
8. North 51 41° 38" East 192054 feet, more or less, along the Northerly right
of way line of said La Palma Avenue, 40 feet wide, and the Northeasterly
prolongation thereof to an intersection with the West line of Lot 159 of
the Eucalyptus Forest Tract, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 5, pages 29
and 30 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence
9. North 16 17' West 401067 feet, more or less, along the Westerly line of
said Lot 159 and the Northerly prolongation thereof to an intersection with
the centerline of Santa Ana Street, 40 feet wide, as shown on the Map of
said Eucalyptus Forest Tract, recorded in Book 5, pages 29 and 30 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, said Santa Ana
Street having been abandoned by Order of the Board of Supervisors of Orange
County, January 16, 1917 recorded in Book 12, page 317af Deeds, records
of Orange County, California; thence
10. North 73 43' East 115087 feet, more or less, along the centerline of said
Santa Ana Street, to an intersection with the Easterly line of that certain
parcel of land conveyed t) the County of Orange by deed recorded August 7,
1962 in Book 6204, pages 797 through 801, inclusive, of Official Records of
Orange County, California; thence
11. Following along a portion of the Easterly line of the land conveyed to the
said County of Orange in the last mentioned deed, the following courses and
distances North 43 31' 42" West 64065 feet, more or less, to the begin-
ning of a tangent curve concave Northeasterly and having a radius of 550
feet; thence Northwesterly and Northerly along said curve through a central
angle of 27 12' 50" an arc distance of 261.23 feet to an intersection with
a line parallel with and 50 feet Easterly, as measured at right angles from
the centerline of Blue Gum Street; thence North 16 18' 52" West 391081
feet tangent to said curve along the last mentioned parallel line and the
Northerly prolongation thereof, to an intersection with a line parallel with
and 32 feet Northerly, as measured at right angles from the centerline of

13. North 16 18' 52" West 298 feet, more or less, along a portion of the West
line of the East 48 feet of Lot 100 of said Eucalyptus Forest Tract, to an
intersection with the South line of Lot 53 of said Eucalyptus Forest Tract;
thence
14. North 73 43' 00" East 48 feet along a portion of the South line of said
Lot 53 to the Southeast corner thereof; thence
15. North 16 18' 52" West 310 feet, more or less, along the East line of said
Lot 53 to an intersection with a line parallel with and 20 feet Southerly,
as measured at right angles from the centerline of Orange Street (40 feet
wide), as shown on the Map of said Eucalyptus Forest Tract; thence
16. South 73 43' 00" West 244 feet, more or less, along the last mentioned
parallel line to an intersection with a line parallel with and 20 feet
Easterly as measured at right angles from the centerline of Blue Gum Street,
as shown on the Map of said Eucalyptus Forest Tract; thence
17. North 16 18' 52" West 660 feet, more or less, along the last mentioned
parallel line to an intersection with a line parallel with and 20 feet
Southerly, as measured at right angles from the centerline of Miraloma
Avenue (formerly known as Anaheim Road) said point of intersection being
in the existing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established by
the Northeast Annexation No. 2 -A to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance
No. 1269, August 12, 1958, filed with the Secretary of State September 12,
1958 and recorded September 17, 1958, in the office of the County Recorder
of Orange County, California; thence
18. South 73 43' 00" West 1,320 feet, more or less, along the last mentioned
parallel line, being a portion of the existing City of Anaheim City Limit
line as established by the said Northeast Annexation No 2 -A, to an inter-
section with the Easterly line of Lot 1, Block 10 of the Golden State
Tract, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4, pages 66 and 67 of Miscel-
laneous Maps,.records of said Orange County, California; thence
19. Continuing to follow along the existing City Limit line of the City of
Anaheim, as established by said Northeast Annexation No. 2 -A, the follow-
ing courses and distances: South 16 18' 52" East 640 feet, more or less,
along the Easterly line of Lot 1, Block 10 of said Golden State Tract
to the Southeast corner of said Lot 1; thence
20. South 73 43' 00" West 660 feet, more or less, along the Southerly line of
said Lot 1 to the Southwest corner thereof, said Southwest corner also
being the Southeast corner of Lot 2, Block 10 of the Golden State Tract,
as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4, pages 66 and 67 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence
21. South 73 43' 00" West 307.66 feet, more or less, along a portion of the
Southerly line of said Lot 2, Block 10 of the Golden State Tract, to an
intersection with the Northeasterly right of way line of State Highway
Route 175 -B, now known as State Highway Route ORA 91; thence
22. Continuing along a portion of the existing City of Anaheim City Limit line
as established by said Northeast Annexation No 2 -A, South 21 35' East
225 feet, more or less, to the point of intersection of the Southwesterly
right of way line of said State Highway Route 175 -B, with the Easterly
line of Lot 8 of the South Placentia Tract No. 1, as shown on a Map re-
corded in Book 5, page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California; thence
23. South 0 28' East 57022 feet, more or less, following along a portion of the
last mentioned existing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim, also being
a portion of the East line of said Lot 8, to the point of beginning.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that such proposed annexation be designated
as BLUE GUM CORONADO ANNEXATION
and that notice of such proposed annexation be hereby given as
hereinafter provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be
had upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than
sixty (60) days after the passage of this resolution, unless the
owner or owners of all of the territory to be annexed have peti-
tioned for annexation or filed their consents to such annexation,
in writing, with the City Council in which event the hearing
shall be set at any time after compliance with Section 35311 of
the Government Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does find
that the owner or owners of all of the territory proposed to be
annexed have not petitioned for annexation or filed their
consents to such annexation, in writing, with the City Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 5th day of July
1966 at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P. M., at the City
Council Chamber in the City Hall of the C ti y of Anaheim be, and
the same is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and place when and
where the City Council will hear protests made by any owner or
owners of real property within the territory proposed to be
annexed; and that at any time before the closing of said hearing
on protests,any owner of property within said territory may file
with the City Clerk a written protest against the annexation.
Said protest shall be in writing and shall state the name of the
owner of the property affected and the description and area of
the property in general terms.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a copy of this reso-
lution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than
once a week, in a newspaper of general circulation, published in
the City, to wit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange
County, California, and also in a newspaper of general circula-
tion, published outside of the City, but in the County of Orange,
in which is located the territory hereinabove proposed to be
annexed to the City of Anaheim, to wit: The Orange Daily News
and that such publication shall be completed
at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of hearing herein
above specified.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll
available on the date the proceedings were initiated, at the
address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in which he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk; and in the event that land
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim is owned by a County, the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexa-
tion to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County.
The foregoing notices shall be given not less than twenty (20)
days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
