A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
CREATING A NON -REPRESENTED NON -SWORN MANAGEMENT CLASSIFICATION
TITLED ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY - ETHICS OFFICER, ASSIGNING THE RATE
OF COMPENSATION AND AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND POLICIES
COVERING NON -REPRESENTED FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME EMPLOYEES TO
UPDATE APPENDIX B AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2023-107
WHEREAS, Section 1.05.020.0103 of the Anaheim Municipal Code requires the Human
Resources Director to maintain and administer the position classification and compensation plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated,
January 23, 2024, that the need exists to create a non -represented, non -sworn management
classification titled Assistant City Attorney - Ethics Officer, and assign a rate of compensation
for the classification, effective the pay period beginning February 2, 2024; and
WHEREAS, terms and conditions of employment for employees serving in classifications
that are not represented by a recognized bargaining unit are set forth in the Personnel Rules on
Policies Covering Non - Represented Full -Time and Part -Time Employees (Personnel Rules)
last updated in its entirety by City Council Resolution No. 2023-107; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that creating the
recommended classification and pay policies is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows:
SECTION 1.
That effective the pay period beginning February 2, 2024, Appendix B - Non -Represented Non -
Sworn Management of the Personnel Rules and Policies Covering Non -Represented Full -Time
and Part -Time Employees, is hereby amended by modifying the classification titles and rates of
compensation to add the following classification:
Classification Salary Range
Assistant City Attorney - Ethics Officer $156,264 - $234,396 (XCR23)
SECTION 2.
Except as amended herein, the Personnel Rules and Policies Covering Non -Represented Full -
Time and Part -Time Employees shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
The Human Resources Director shall be delegated with the authority to publish the authorized
salary schedule in Personnel Rules and Policies Covering Non -Represented Full -Time and
Part -Time Employees in any format meeting the requirements of the California Code of
Regulations section 570.5.
SECTION 4.
Resolution No. 2023-107 is repealed effective February 2, 2024.
SECTION 5.
The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
