No, as a community, we do not want your temporary sidewalk paintings. It does not bring vibrancy, it brings ghetto.
Remove all of it.
And the only reason Beach blvd was blocked off was because it sits right in front of councilman Diaz's house. And he
traded that when he voted to rezone and build a low income apartment complex on Western and Ball. E eryone knows
that. And that was also a decision the community didn't get to vote on.
If you really want to help district 1, remove the sidewalk paint,
level the motels, and get your priorities straight. Anaheim Hills is not more important than west Anaheim.
Send this to the city manager. Its his job. Not yours.

Dear Jodie,
Your Anytime request # has been resolved with the resolution:
Thank you for reaching out. We understand your concerns regarding the sidewalk painting in District 1. The intention
behind the initiative was to bring temporary color and vibrancy to Beach Blvd. as part of the Rebuild Beach project, with
the understanding that larger, more permanent improvements are coming. Community engagement is crucial in
projects, and we are committed to ensuring that future enhancements are conducted with community involvement,
such as with the improvements made to the Rome Ave. cul-de-sac.
Regarding your concerns about graffiti and other criminal activities, we share your commitment to maintaining a safe
and inviting community environment. We have contacted the city’s graffiti removal contractor to address any issues
related to graffiti and APD continues to conduct direct enforcement operations to address crime in the area.
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue our efforts to improve
West Anaheim and enhance the quality of life for all residents.
Thank you,
Brittney Malenofski
Acting Assistant to the City Manager
This is in reference to the Anaheim request you submitted on 02/01/2024 11:10 AM
Description: The city painted on our sidewaks here in west anaheim district 1 without asking the residents or voting on
it, it is inviting even more graffiti on top of it and is a blight to our community. What we request is the complete removal
of all painting on our sidewalks and bring it back to the clean plain cement that was there orginally.
It was intentionally done without the residents knowledge and is absolute invasion of graffitin on our community
sidewalks. It does nothing to deter crime, they continually graffiti on top of it, prostitutes and pimps stand right on it,
and it was done without our community consent. Even if they feel they had the right to initiate murals and graffit
painting on sidewalks doesnt mean that its right.
Please powerwash all painting and any murals immedately. The people who actually live in this area do not want it, and
obviously the decision to do it was made by a politician who lives in a different area and i can assure you THEY WOULD
NEVER WANT THIS ON THEIR SIDEWALKS IN ANAHEIM HILLS.
Thank you
