AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM A14ENDING
SUBSECTIONS .020, .040 AND .050 OF SECTION
5.04.010, ADDING NEW SECTION 5.04.065, AND
AMIE 1DING SECTION 5.04.070 OF CHAPTER 5.04,
`TITLE 5, OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELA'ITI 1G
TO BICYCLE LICEitiSING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIIJI., DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That subsections .020, .040 and .050 of Section
5.04.010 of Chapter 5.04, Title 5, of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same are hereby amended to read as follows:
11.020 The word BICYCLE shall mean and
include any device as defined in Section 39000
of the California Vehicle Code or any successor
provision thereto."
11.040 The term BICYCLE LICENSE RECEIPT shall
mean and include the registration certificate issued
by the Licensing Agency or Agent of the City of
Anaheim upon receipt of the designated license and
registration fee."
11.050 The term BICYCLE PLATE shall mean and
include the bicycle license indicia designated by
the State of California in accordance with Section
39001 of the California Vehicle Code, to be perman-
ently affixed to the bicycle and which bears a unique
number permanently assigned to that bicycle by the
State. tr
SECTIO14 2.
That new Section 5.04.065 be, and the same is hereby,
added to Chapter 5.04 of Title 5 of the Anaheim MIuniciple Code
to read as follows:
"5.0 +.065 LICENSE RENEWAL
Bicycle licenses shall be renewed on
January 1 of the third year following the year of
registration, and each third year thereafter, by
payment of the designated fee therefor on or before
said date. Renewal of a bicycle license shall be
indicated by a supplementary adhesive device affixed
parallel to and above or below the indicia with
expiration date shown."

SEC`-LI0N 3.
`that Section 5.04.070 of Chapter 5.04, Title 5,
of the Anaheim Punicipal Code be, and the same is hereby,
amended to read as follows:

The fees required to be paid pursuant
to the provisions of this Chapter are:
.010 For each Bicycle License and
registration certificate, the sum of three dollars
($3.00) .
.020 For each transfer of License
receipt, the sum of one dollar (s>1.00).
.030 For each replacement of Bicycle
License Receipt or Bicycle Plate, the sum of one
dollar ($1.00).
.040 For each Bicycle License renewal,
the sum of three dollars ($3.00).
.050 For each impounding fee for
bicycles found to be in violation of this Chapter, the
sum of five dollars (:��5.00) ."
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage, it shall tape effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 21st day of
August, 1979.
