A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN COUNTIES GAS
COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA WITH REFERENCE TO
TEMPORARY PARKING FACILITIES FOR STADIUM
EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim owns and operates the
Anaheim Stadium located on College Boulevard in Anaheim, Cali-
fornia, and Southern Counties Gas Company of California owns
and operates its operating base on College Boulevard, in
Anaheim, California; and
WHEREAS, in connection with the opening of the 1966
baseball season at Anaheim Stadium, the City needs and desires
the temporary use of additional parking facilities for stadium
employees; and
WHEREAS, Southern Counties Gas Company of California
is agreeable to the use by City, for such stadium employee
parking, of the south unfenced parking lot of its operating
base lying immediately north of Pacifico Avenue on the follow-
ing dates and hours:
Saturday, April 9, 1966 9 A.M. 6 P.M.
Sunday, April 10, 1966 9 A.M. 6 P.M.
Saturday, April 23, 1966 7 A.M. 6 P.M.
The said parking lot will accommodate approximately 250
automobiles; and
WHEREAS, the City and said Southern Counties Gas
Company of California desire to enter into an agreement setting
forth the terms and conditions upon which said parking lot may
be used by the City for temporary parking.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that an agreement be made and entered
into by and between the City of Anaheim and Southern Counties
Gas Company of California providing as follows:
1. Southern Counties Gas Company of California shall
agree and consent to the use by City, for such
stadium employee parking, of the south unfenced
parking lot of its operating base lying immediately
north of Pacifico Avenue on the following dates
and hours:
Saturday, April 9, 1966
Sunday, April 10, 1966
Saturday, April 23, 1966
The said parking lot will

ATTEST:
2. The City shall agree to maintain adequate police
and security guards at all times during use of
the parking lot. Only City stadium employees
will be permitted to park.
3. The City shall agree to hold said Southern Counties
Gas Company harmless and to indemnify it against
any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs
or expenses of whatsoever kind or nature arising
out of the performance of said contract, including
but not limited to damages for the injury or death
of any person or persons or damage to property.
City shall agree to defend and resist all such
claims on behalf of said Southern Counties Gas
Company.
Further, City shall agree to pay said Southern
Counties Gas Company for any damage to its property
arising out of the performance of said agreement
or the use of the parking lot.
4. Southern Counties Gas Company shall further agree
that on April 19, 1966, only, between 5 :00 P.M.
and 12 :00 o'clock midnight the City may use the
portion of the parking lot to park buses used to
transport stadium employees, subject to all the
terms and conditions of said agreement.
5. After each day's use of the parking lot under said
agreement, City will leave the premises in a clean
condition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
and they are hereby, authorized to execute such
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
day of March, 1966.
