A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN ANEivLA -ENT
TO THE GENERAL PLAN DESIG',ATED AS AMEND-
MENT NO. 80.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did hold a public hearing to consider an amendment to
the Circulation Element Highway Rights -of -Way on the General
Plan by changing Blue Gum Street, between La Palma and Orange-
thorpe Avenues, from its present designation as a Primary
Highway to a Secondary "highway, and at said hearing did receive
evidence and reports from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, following said hearing thereon the Planning
Commission did duly adopt a resolution containing a report of
its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at said
hearing, and a recommendation that said amendment to the
General Plan, designates as Amendment No. 80, be adopted by the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings, and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the llth day of
October, 1966, as the time and the Council Chamber in the City
Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public hearing
upon said proposed Amendment No. 80 to the General Plan and
did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided by law;
and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did
thereupon consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 80 to the General Plan, amending the Circulation
Element Highway Rights -of -Way on said General Plan by changing
Blue Gum Street, between La Palma and Orangethorpe Avenues,
from a Primary Highway to a Secondary Highway, should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 80 to the General Plan,
amending the Circulation Element Highway Rights -of -Way on said
General Plan by changing Blue Gum Street, between La Palma and
Orangethorpe Avenues, from a Primary Highway to a Secondary
Highway, be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby instructed, to amend the General Plan Iiap to
conform to General Plan Amendment No. 80 herein approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby recommend to the Orange County Planning Commission that
Blue Gum Street, between La Palma and Orangethorpe Avenues, be
changed on the Orange County Master Plan of Streets and Highways
from its present classification as a Primary Highway to a
Secondary Highway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
also hereby recommend to the City of Placentia a change in
Blue Gum Street within its jurisdiction from its present
street designation to a Secondary Highway.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this llth day of October, 1966.
