RESOLUTION NO. 5226
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING RULES AND
REGULATIONS FOR TEE ADMINISTRATIVE PRO-
CEDURE IN THE FILING AND PROCESSING OF
SUBDIVISION MAPS WITHIN THE CITY OF ANA-
HEIM; AND RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS NO.
4204 AND NO. 2765.
WHEREAS, Article IX, Chapter 1, Section 9100.12 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code authorizes the City Council, from time to
time by resolution, to establish rules and regulations for the
administrative procedure in the filing and processing of sub-
division maps within the City of Anaheim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the procedure for t he filing and pro-
cessing of subdivision maps, pursuant to Article IX, Chapter 1,
Section 9100.12 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and' it is
hereby, established as follows:
I. At least 24 days prior to the Planning Commission meet-
ing, the SUBDIVIDER shall file sixteen copies of TENTA-
TIVE MAP with the PLANNING DIRECTOR.
2. THE PLANNING DIRECTOR stamps the date of the Planning
Commission Meeting at which the tentative map will
normally be reviewed on each map sheet, and makes the
necessary distribution, as follows:

3. TENTATIVE MAP placed on ENGINEERING CO~1ITTEE AGENDA
and SUBDIVIDER and HIS ENGINEER notified of time and
place of meeting.
4. The ENGINEERING COMMITTEE normally meets on the Wednes-
day preceding the Planning Commission meeting. Said
Committee is composed of Representatives of the City
Manager1s Office; Engineering Department; Public Works
Department; Planning Department; Building Department;
and Public Utilities Department. The Committee reviews
each subdivision and forwards its recommendations
and/or suggestions to the PLANNING COMMISSION, in writing,
with copies to the SUBDIVIDER and HIS ENGINEER.
NOTE: SUBDIVIDER and HIS ENGINEER may be present.
5. PLANNING DIRECTOR places TENTATIVE MAP on PLANNING
COMMISSION AGENDA.
6. PLANNING COMMISSION reviews TENTATIVE 11AP AND ENGI-
NEERING COMMITTEE'S recommendations.
7. PLANNING DIRECTOR reports action taken by PLANNING
COMMISSION to CITY CLERK and SUBDIVIDER and HIS ENGINEER.
8. CITY COUNCIL reviews TENTATIVE MAP, utilizing the
previous action of Planning Commission and pertinent
plot and building plans of the tract.
9. CITY CLERK notifies SUBDIVIDER and HIS ENGINEER of
action of CITY COUNCIL.
10. If the City Council APPROVED the Tentative Map - 9
PRINTS of FINAL MAP plus 2 TITLE SHEETS may be sub-
mitted to the City Engineer.
11. The CITY ENGINEER forwards prints to:

12. CITY ENGINEER check FINAL TRACT MAP returning 1 copy,
with corrections, if any, to the SUBDIVIDER'S ENGINEER.
13. SUBDIVIDER'S ENGINEER submits to the CITY ENGINEER 2
sets of SEWER AND STREET IMPROVEMENT PLANS AND PROFILES
for checking with 2 PRINTS each of GRADING PLAN and
PLOT PLAN.
14. CITY ENGINNER checks IMPROVEr'IENT PLANS and PLOT PLANS
returning one copy with corrections, if any, to SUB-
DIVIDER'S ENGINEER.
15. CITY ENGINEER advises SUBDIVIDER of FEES and BOND
AMOUNTS.
NOTE: BONDS MUST BE POSTED AND FEES PAID ONE WEEK PRIOR
TO COUNCIL MEETING.
16. CITY A'rTOHNEY inspects and approves BONDS.

17. CITY COUNCIL acts on FINAL TRACT MAP.
18.
If FINAL MAP APPROVED, CITY CLERK signs TRACT MAP
certifying as to Council action.

19. SUBDIVIDER pays CHECKING FEES and OBTAINS GRADING PER-
MIT.
20. CITY ENGINEER signs PLOT PLAN.
21. SUBDIVIDER'S ENGINEER submits IMPROVEMENT PLANS for
DIRECTOR OF UTILITIES and CITY ENGINEER'S certifica-
tions.
22. SUBDIVIDER shall furnish to CITY ENGINEER:
a. RECORDED TRACT MAP
1. One Cronaflex of Title and each Map sheet.
2. Nine prints of TRACT MAP.
3. Two prints of TITLE SF~ET.
b. SIGNED STREET AND SEWER IMPROVEMENT PLANS AND PROFILES
1. SEWER PLANS - four prints
2. STREET PLANS - five prints
NOTE: SUBDIVIDER SHOULD OBTAIN CLEARANCE FROM UTILITY
COMPANIES.
23. SUBDIVIDER, after tract constructed, requests FINAL
ACCEPTANCE of tract in its entirety.
24. SUBDIVIDER pays INSPEC'rION FEES.
25. FINAL LETTER of ACCEPTANCE written by CITY ENGINEER
accepting streets and sewers (not a release of bond.)
26. SIXTY days after Final Letter of Acceptance ( if tract
free and clear) BOND RELEASE given on request by
bonding agency.
RESOLUTIONS NO. 4204 and NO. 2765 are hereby rescinded.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 12th day of May, 1959.
