Anaheim City Council Anaheim City Council, To: Mayor Aitken and the Anaheim City Council, I am a lifelong resident of Anaheim and currently live in district 2. I also grew up less than one mile away from Disneyland. Living so close to Disneyland negatively impacted my quality of life due to sound pollution, traffic due to tourism, and disruption to my neighborhood in Provential Drive. Due to the daily fireworks, I could not sleep until 10pm, because, without fail, the sound and vibration from the fireworks would set off car alarms and dogs would consequently howl. As an elementary aged child, this impacted my quality of life during a critical developmental stage. Fast forward to the current DisneylandForward Project, I am deeply concerned by the negative impacts that this project could have on our community and the speed with which the City is moving forward to adopt this project without proper community engagement. The expansion of the Disneyland Resort, as outlined in the DisneylandForward proposal, raises significant concerns about community displacement, traffic congestion, and strain on our public resources. As residents we deserve extensive and continued engagement process that allows residents to provide input, including accessible in person conversations that take place in the evening 1 or on weekends to ensure that the meetings are accessible for those that work a 9am-6pm job. I urge you to postpone the vote and ensure a detailed, open process that carefully considers the Project's impact; encourages discussions between city officials, Disney, and the community members; and ensures that the community benefits associated with the project truly meet the proposed benefits are in line with the community's needs for greater affordable housing investments. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your thoughtful consideration and action on behalf of our City. Karen Romero Estrada Anaheim , California 92804 2
