A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT NO. 704; AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 65R -521.
WHEREAS, the City Council did heretofore, to wit, on
July 6, 1965, adopt Resolution No. 65R -521 denying the request
of Robert L. Panek for a conditional use permit to establish
an ambulance service substation in conjunction with an existing
single family residence on Lot No. 1 of Tract No. 2381, in the
City of Anaheim, after having duly held and conducted a public
hearing thereon according to law; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, on or about September 30, 1965,
a written request was received in the Office of the City Clerk
from E. Richard Crane, owner of the ambulance service proposed
to be established on subject property, approved by R. L. Panek,
owner of said property, asking that the petition for a condi-
tional use permit to operate an ambulance service substation on
the property above described be reconsidered on the grounds of
additional evidence; and
WHEREAS, on October 9, 1965, the City Council did
instruct the City Clerk to schedule a public hearing to consider
such additional evidence in connection with said conditional use
permit; and
WHEREAS, November 9, 1965, at 7:00 P.M. in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall, City of Anaheim, was set as the time
and place for a public hearing to consider additional evidence
in connection with said conditional use permit, and notice of
said hearing was duly given according to law; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hear-
ing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard, and did receive said additional evidence and
reports; and did continue said hearing for a period of six
months for further study and analysis; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after careful con-
sideration of such additional evidence and reports offered at
said hearing, that:
1. The proposed use is properly one for which a
conditional use permit is authorized by the
Anaheim Municipal Code.
2. The proposed use will not adversely affect the
adjoining land uses and the growth and development
of the area in which it is proposed to be located.
3. The size and shape of the site proposed for the
use is adequate to allow the full development of
the proposed use in a manner not detrimental to
the particular area nor to the peace, health,
safety and general welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Conditional Use Permit No. 704 be, and
the same is hereby granted permitting the establishment of an
ambulance service substation in an existing single family
residence on Lot No. 1 of Tract No. 2381, as shown on a map
recorded in Book 69, Pages 15, 16 and 17 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California, subject to the following
conditions:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the action of the City
Council denying said conditional use permit be, and the same is
hereby revoked; and that Resolution No. 65R -521 be, and the same
is hereby rescinded.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
such conditional use permit for good cause or failure of said
owner, his heirs, successors or assigns to comply with the
Anaheim Municipal Code and regulations and the conditions herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 13th day of September, 1966.

4. The traffic generated by the proposed use will not
impose an undue burden upon the streets and highways
designed and improved to carry the traffic in the
area.
5. The granting of the conditional use permit under
the conditions imposed will not be detrimental to
the peace, health, safety and general welfare of
the citizens of the City of Anaheim.
6. That in view of the additional evidence presented
at said hearing, the action of the City Council
denying said Conditional Use Permit No. 704 should
be revoked and Resolution No. 65R -521 rescinded.
1. That trash storage areas shall be provided in accord-
ance with approved plans on file in the Office of the
Director of Public Works and Super intendent of
Streets, prior to final building inspection.
2. That this conditional use permit is granted subject
to the completion of Reclassification Proceedings
No. 64 -65 -128 now pending.
3. That subject property shall be developed substantially
in accordance with plans and specifications of file
with the City of Anaheim, marked Exhibits Nos. 1, 2
and 3.
4. That all air conditioning facilities shall be
properly shielded from view from abutting streets,
prior to final building inspection.
5. That subject property shall be developed with
90- degree parking at the rear of the existing
structure.
