A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 1816
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition for $oning variance from
William C. Chandlee and Josephine M. Chan4lee. ct al,. ownQrs
of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Lots 3 and 4 of Tract No. 2015, in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, as per map recorded
in Book 58, page 16, of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the Office of the County
Recorder of said County.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
August 1 9 19 66 notice of which said public hearing was
duly given as required by law and the provisions.of.Title 18,
Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission after due
inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in its
behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No. 3 =SamAita
19 PC66 -36 arantina- Variance No_ 1816 and
WHEREAS, thereafter within twenty-two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council did
elect, upon its own motion, to review the action taken by the City
Planning Commission in rt'nqQ said variance and did set a
public hearing thereon to w be held on the 6th day of Se tember
1966 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Hall in the Clty o
Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing was duly given as
required by law and the provisions of Title 18, _Chapter 18.76 of
the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There is no_substantial property right_possessed
by other property in the same vicinity and zone
and denied the subject property.
2. It appears that the subject property can be
adequately developed and used under the present
zone.
THEREFOREā BE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission

granting Variance No. 1816, be, and the same is hereby disapproved,
and that the petition of William C. Chandlee and Josephine M.
Chandlee, et al., for a zoning variance permitting a waiver of
the formula governing height limitation of structures within
150 feet of a single family residential zone (Section 18.40.070
(3 -a) of the Anaheim Municipal Code), on the property hereinbefore
described, be, and the same is hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 6th day of September, 1966.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 6th day of
September, 1966.
