A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 1801
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition for oning variance from
CORA U. ROSS and LAURA B. DANIELS, owners.
of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
That portion of the West half of the North half of
Lot 15 of the Orangewood Tract, in the City of Anaheim,
as per map recorded in book 7, page 42 of Miscellaneous
Maps, lying Northerly and Easterly of the boundary line
of Tract No. 5155, as per map recorded in book 194,
pages 45 and 46 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said
Orange County.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
June 20 1966 notice of which said public hearing was
duly given as required by law and the provisions of .Title 18,
Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission after due
inspection, investigation_and studies made by itself and in its
behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No. 2090, Series
19 65 -66 denying Variance No. 1801 and
WHEREAS, thereafter within twenty-two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council did
elect, upon its own motion, to review the action taken by the City
Planning Commission in denying said variance and did set a
public ,hearing thereon to be lheld on the 26th day of July at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Hall in the Ci of
Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing was duly given as
required by law and the provisions of Title 18,_Chapter 18.76 of
the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There is no substantial property right., possessed
by other property in the same vicinity and zone
and denied the subject property.
2. It appears that the subject property can be
adequately developed and used under the present
zone.
1,‘,„, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission
denying Variance No. 1801 be, and the same is hereby sustained,
and that the petition of Cora U. Ross and Laura B. Daniels for a

variance permitting a waiver of the required screen planting
abutting a residential zone, along the east property line
(Section 18.40.070 (2 a 5 a))), and a waiver of the formula
governing height limitations of structures within 150 feet of
a single family residential zone (Section 18.40.070 (3 -a)),
on the property hereinbefore described, be, and the same is
hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 26th day of July, 1966.
