March 8, 2024 To whom it may concern: I am submitting this correspondence in support of the DisneylandForward project. As a 17-year resident of Anaheim and an almost-native Orange County resident, I am fully aware and appreciative of the benefits our community garners from the tourism Disneyland generates. This tourism benefits the City of Anaheim, Orange County and Southern California, at large. From the hotels, souvenir shops, restaurants/eateries, mom-and-pop shops, to the In-n-Out on Ball and State College, we all directly or indirectly benefit from it. The additional tax revenue will help the city address the ever-growing homelessness challenge, will create additional jobs and affordable housing sorely needed in our community, will help enhance our parks, and supplement the city coffers to use for other worthy causes. Disneyland is the destination, from there, visitors include other local amusement parks, entertainment and activities into their itinerary. This helps spread the tourism revenue to other cities and communities. As they say, it’s not all “Rainbows and Unicorns”. We should all expect challenges with the construction and the disruption it may cause in the immediate areas and neighborhoods, the additional traffic which will be created with the new attractions and the privatization of certain city streets, the unsavory types that are attracted to tourist areas and what this may mean to our safety and security. I understand that some of these issues may be difficult to control, but nonetheless, should be closely monitored. As long as Disney continues to work and collaborate with the City of Anaheim in good faith, I believe the expansion would be a “win-win” for everyone involved. I am proud to live in Anaheim, and a big part of that is having Disneyland “in my backyard". Thank you for your time.  Celina Ponce 1
