Dear Ms. Thienprasiddhi and the Anaheim Planning Commision,
Thank you for reviewing the Disney Forward Plan and for considering the community implications of this plan.
My name is Sarah Jedlicka, and I am Disneyland Cast Member and an Anaheim resident living in District 4.
I have some more questions about some of the items being discussed in the Disney Forward plan on March 11th
Planning Commission meeting.
First, I want to know what the Disney Forward plan will do about the increased traffic on the streets and
freeway entrances/exits around the Disneyland Resort.
Some questions I would like to see answered:
- Will there be more passenger loading/unloading areas, to relieve congestion on the main roads like Harbor
Blvd.?
- What will be done to help relieve traffic at the Ball Rd. and Harbor Blvd. intersection?
-What will be done to alleviate traffic that builds up in the mornings and evenings at the intersection of Ball Rd.
and Disneyland Dr., which is a direct freeway entrance/exit to Interstate 5?
In another area of the Disney Forward plan, it requests for easing restrictions on taller buildings. Some
questions I have about the taller buildings are:
- Would there be measures to mitigate light pollution from taller buildings and not disrupt the neighbors?
- Would there be measures to mitigate migrating birds from crashing into the taller buildings?
- Would there be measures to improve safety to help prevent people who might want to jump or may fall off of
larger/taller structures?
The Disneyland Forward plan also requests to use low water plants in the new developments.
-Are the low water plants also going to be ones that are California natives that help support less water use and
healthier habitats for local flora and fauna in an otherwise urban environment?
Thank you again for considering the public comments. I hope there is some more information from the Planning
Commission meeting on the 11th. Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Sarah Jedlicka
