A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHBIM ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM SOUTHERN
PACIFIC COMPANY OF THE RIGlIT TO CONSTRUCT,
RECONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND USE A STREET OR
HIGHWAY ACROSS PROPERTY OF THE GRANTOR, AND
AUTHORIZING TIiE EXECUTION OF AN INDENTURE
COVERING THE CONSTRUCTION, USE AND MAINTEN-
ANCE OF SAID STREET OR HIGHWAY.
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company, a corporation of the
State of Delaware, has tendered to the City of Anaheim an Indenture
granting to the City of Anaheim the right to construct, reconstruct,
maintain and use a street or highway upon and across the following
described real property, subject to the reservations, covenants and
conditions therein contained:
A strip of land, 60 feet wide, situate in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of Calif~~nia,
being all that portion of that 6.372 acre parcel of
land described in deed dated March 20, 1899 from
J. Frowenfeld et ux to Southern Pacific Railroad
Company, recorded March 23, 1899 in Book 41, Page
372, of Deeds in the Office of the Recorder of said
County, lying between the southerly prolongations
of the easterly and westerly lines of Claudina Street,
60 feet wide, as shown on map of the Center Tract
recorded in Book 14, Page 13, of Miscellaneous Records
in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County,
containing an area of 9000 square feet, more or less.
The location of the above described parcel of land is shown
outlined in yellow on the print of Southern Pacific Company's Los Angeles
Division Drawing B-34l4, Sheet No.2, revised November 13, 1958, attached
to and made a part of the Indenture above mentioned.
AND WHEREAS, said grantor has tendered to the City said above-
mentioned Indenture to be executed by the Southern Pacific Company and
the City of Anaheim, which Indenture the City Council finds would be for
the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim and should be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the street or highway Indenture above mentioned
tendered to the City by Southern Pacific Company, a corporation of the
State of Delaware, granting to the City, but subject to the reservations,
covenants and conditions therein contained, the right to construct,
reconstruct, maintain and use a street or highway upon and across the
real property hereinabove mentioned and described be, and the same is
hereby approved and accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized to execute said Indenture above mentioned
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
